[A small eagle is lowered to the floor in a beam of light as Erin looks on.]

"What have they sent me this time?"

::She approaches the animal and prods it gently, trying to rouse it. The bird twitches and sits up, looking confused as Erin reads it's powers.::

"Ah, you're a part shapeshifter."

::She smiles before stridding off and returns with a pair of jeans and a shirt.::

"These should do nicely."

::At the seemingly confused look in the bird's eyes, she explains herself.::

"You're kind of... well... naked the first time you shift."

::She watches expectantly, then realizes the reason for a hesitation::

"I'll just... You tell me when you're presentable."

::She turns away.::

::Chloe ruffles her feathers.::

(Took her a while...)

::She closes her dark eyes and concentrates, not really knowing what's supposed to happen. Pain suddenly shoots through her body as it grows and morphs into a young woman.::

"Ouch..."

::She feels suddenly cold as the air comes into direct contact with her skin. Her eyes, the same exact golden color as the bird that stood there before her, widen in mild shock. She fumbles to get the clothing on.::

"Ok, all dressed."

::She ignores the hair in her face as she contemplates what she just did.::

(From bird to human in just a few seconds? What the heck is wrong with me? This is not normal...)

::Erin smiles and walks over to Chloe::

"I see you've had your first morph. How was it? Fun? Looked kind of painful to me. Glad I don't have to go through it."

::She shudders and crosses her arms::

"Do you have any questions before I show you on your way?"

::Chloe's brow furrows in thought and confusion. She looks at Erin.::

"Care to explain who I am... What I am? You said something about me being part shapeshifter? What's the other.. part?"

::Erin thinks for a second then begins slowly::

"Well. There are these things called Shapeshifters. Which means they have the power of being able to shift the shape of their body. The name is self-explanatory. Then comes the other half. There are beings called Familiars. They are creatures in animal form who somehow protect and guide witches. Though how a Shapeshifter and a Familiar hooked up I do not know. Not sure if I want to know really. I'm guessing there was some alcohol involved. Sheesh."

::She coughs awkwardly and wipes her brow::

"At the moment you can only morph between your human and eagle form. But with practice who knows what you'll be able to change into?"

::Chloe nods slowly, begining to understand.::

"So... How do I 'get started'?"

::She stands akwardly, not knowing what to expect.::

"Well. I'd suggest heading towards the CW Apartments and getting a place to stay. The Landlord is a right piece of work but a few well placed kicks can sort his pervert arse right out. Then from there you might try P3 or The Bay Mirror for a job. They are always looking for bar staff and reporters."

::Erin turns around and gestures at a door on the left::

"Walk through that door to go to the places I just mentioned, with your powers and knowlege of magic. Walk through the door on the right to enter the world as a powerless mortal, pathetic and weak, open to magical attack from all angles with no chance of defending yourself."

::She clears her throat and apologises slightly::

"Sorry, I just get carried away. Why would someone give up magic? It's ridiculous. But the choice is yours."

::Chloe ponders her situation looking at both doors, trying to see through them, to get a glimpse of what's on the other side.::

"I don't know..."

::She glaces towards Erin for guidence then turns back to the doors.::

"I want to learn more about magic so..."

::She slowly opens the door on the left and crosses the threshold, heading to CW Apartments.::

[Chloe is deposited safelt with Erin until she can return to The World.]

::Chloe sits cross-legged on the floor and looks about.::

(Why did I come here again?)

"I dunno..."

::She stretches her legs out in front of her, setting her hands behind her so she doesn't fall. She sighs, then smiles slighlty.::

(Oh, Andrea... I left her all alone wiht that creepy cat. I'd better head back home, then.)

::She goes back to her apartment.::

[Chloe appears in some lovely blue orbs, until she can head back.]

::Chloe sits quietly in the center of the room, head bowed, her eyes almost closed. She doesn't call for Erin, she just sits, processing things. After a long while, she stands and leaves, heading for Her and Andrea's Apartment.::

::Chloe appears and makes herself comfortable on the uncomfortable floor, tucking her wings neatly on her back and fluffing out her chest feathers. Here she remains for a long, long time.::

::Chloe shakes herself, moving for the first time in what seems like months. She stretches her stiff wings and shuffles her talons.::

(I need a beer.)

::She transforms into her human self, her hair a bit longer than before, her face somehow different. She heads to the bar.::

[Chloe appears. Go back into the world when you feel up to it.]

::Chloe shakes herself and then transforms into her feathered self, repeating the motion with more success. She leaps into the air and flies to her apartment.::
