Red is the theme of this extravagent bedroom. A queen-sized bed with red silk sheets sits in the middle with various antique furniture around. Candles glow at all times - charmed, of course, to never run out or drop or, you know, cause fires...

::Paige and Azura enter and Paige closes the door behind them. She opens a window, though, knowing Azura won't like the small space.::

"I only brought you here because I was desperate."

:: Azura walks all the way over to the window and stands staring out of it, not wanting to look at Paige right now. If she does she knows her resolve will start to weaken, there is only so long she can keep this up with Paige.::

"What is this going to accomplish Paige? I am not going to change my mind. I just... I do not understand any of this. You keep saying that you are not, will not turn evil and yet when I look around this place that is all I can see. When I look at Prue that is all I can see."

:: She takes in a breath but it doesn't stop her voice from coming out high and thin.::

"I just want to understand."

"Then I'll show you."

::Looking blank, Paige slowly reaches into her jacket pocket and pulls out the power orb Prue gave her. It glows golden light with the power it contains.::

"Magic controls the weak, Azura. How many times have you personally seen evil magic overtake a good person's soul? Andrea? Is that it?"

::She tosses the orb into her other hand.::

"Is Andrea strong?"

:: Azura turns and watches Paige, her eyes drifting to the power orb in Paige's hand. She bites her lip, she doesn't want to say anything bad against Andrea, she is her best friend afterall, but Julie has an evil power and she seems just fine. Well, she hasn't tried to kill Azura yet.::

"Andrea, she... is. She... is."

:: She looks from the orb to Paige knowing that she doesn't sound convincing in the least.::

"Az..."

::Paige looks sad.::

"Let's just be honest here, okay? Andrea's not as strong as she could be. As she should be. But you are. I am. Prue is. Can't you see? Your view of us is tainted because you know we have these powers. You're making yourself have these thoughts, when really, we're the same people. I'm still Paige. Look at me, Az. It's me."

::She'd been slowly walking towards Azura while speaking and now stands in front of her. Reaching up, she gently touches Azura's cheek, remembering that time she'd knelt down outside P3 while Azura sat in the car and did this same action. That was before they were together, when it was so obvious they wanted to be. She allows her mind to open a little, having control of the situation, and transmits this memory to her girlfriend.::

:: Azura doesn't shy away from Paige's touch, but she doesn't lean into it either, instead she closes her eyes and lets the memory Paige is sending her wash over her. What she felt that day in the car is exactly how she feels now, only the feelings are stronger. God she loves Paige. Loves her so much. She is just being stupid, allowing herself to see everything as black or white, when nothing is ever clear cut. Opening her eyes, she mirrors Paige's movement, touching her girlfriend's cheek in the same way.::

"Paige."

:: She moves in closer, nuzzling into Paige as she relaxes against her.::

::Paige smiles slightly and leans up to kiss Azura tenderly on the lips.::

"Az, I would never do anything I thought would turn out wrong in the end. You know that. Look at what I did. I had to give up you, my sisters, my life... so that Prue and I could make the world a better place. I don't want to make myself out to be some bigshot or anything, it's just... can't you understand what I'm doing? And why?"

:: Azura looks as if she is still struggling with this a little, she's unsure, but she does what to understand.::

"I..."

:: She hesitates some more before finally nodding, although she still looks a bit unsure.::

::Paige grins.::

"You're the best."

::She looks down at the power orb in her hand, wondering if she should still proceed with what she was going to do. The conversation had taken another turn, though, so it looks like she won't need it. Yet. If Azura goes on about not understanding again, she has a way to make her understand now.::

(Prue's a genius.)

::She leans up and kisses Azura again.::

:: Azura responds to the kiss after a couple of seconds, she gently places her hands on Paige's waist. Something about all of this still doesn't sit right with her though, it feels wrong in some way. But she doesn't let this how, or at least she tries not to let it show that she is already having doubts again. She knows that if Andrea knew she'd slap her silly for being so stupid, but Paige. And... it's Paige!::

::Pulling away with a smile, Paige makes a soft sound of happiness and slides her hands down Azura's arms.::

"So you won't tell anyone?"

"No."

:: Although she looks nervous again, and guilty and unsure. She doesn't like being put in the position where she is going to have to lie to everyone, especially since she is a bad lier at the best of times.::

::Paige grins, looking relieved. Her smile only widens and her eyes seem to light up.::

"I love you."

:: Azura's worries momentarily vanish upon hearing those three little words. She can't help but smile.::

"I love you too."

:: Being able to say that to Paige causes her smile to widen.::

::Paige grins and kisses Azura yet again.::

"God, I'm glad my glamouring skills are awful."

:: Azura doubts herself for a second, but she needs to stop being stupid. This is what she wants more than anything. This is what she has wanted since The Sources Lair and she knows it.::

"It was your voice."

::Paige smiles.::

"Yeah, I know. I panicked. I hadn't meant to talk, but that girl... god. I mean, scary much?"

::Her expression darkens over.::

"When I get my hands on Moony..."

:: That's a quick way to make Azura feel uncomfortable, she dislikes Moony as much as the next person but Paige's expression kind of freaks her out. She pulls away from her and sits herself down on the bed, running a hand through her hair as she does.::

"Seriously. I cannot wait til we get this Source thing going, there are so many demons I need to take down a peg or ten. Starting with Carys..."

::She smiles, then looks at Az.::

"Don't worry. I'm not in it for the vengeance thing. It's just a nice perk."

:: Azura nods and smiles nervously at Paige. The thought of going after demons for vengeance, well, not only does it scare her but what's the point of it? Why kill a demon unless it is necessary.Without even thinking about it she starts to play with her hair.::

::Paige sees this and knows what it means.::

"You're still uncertain."

:: Azura stops, and looks at Paige. She chews on the inside of her mouth and then nods.::

::Paige straightens up and looks down at Azura, in contemplation.::

(I could... but I don't think she's in the mood to go with it...)

:: Now Azura feels bad for letting Paige down.::

"I am sorry, I want to understand and... but, I just..."

:: She shakes her head, drawing her legs up onto the bed and hugging them to herself.::

::Paige bites her lip.::

(Go easy.)

"I could... show you..."

:: Azura looks up sharply, her gaze flicking over Paige. She's wary.::

"You can...?"

"Yeah. I can show you that an evil power doesn't make a strong person weak."

:: Azura averts her gaze to the floor as if searching for something. After a moment or two she sits forward on the bed, her feet resting on the floor again. She looks at Paige.::

"How?"

::Paige reaches back into her jacket and pulls out the orb again.::

"You could find out for yourself."

"Oh."

:: Azura sits back a little, her gaze fixed on the orb the whole time.::

"Paige, I am not sure if I would be able to..."

:: She trails off and tilts her head to the side a little, still staring at the orb. She's curious.::

"Azura, you could kill someone with the power of your mind. You're strong enough. You can take it."

(She'd be so sexy with a little evil in her...)

::Paige licks her lips and holds it out.::

"Trust me."

:: Azura continues to stare at the power orb as she thinks about it. If she doesn't take it she is basically saying that she has a weak mind. Which she knows she doesn't. She would be insulting herself if she said no. She isn't weak. She isn't. And she trusts Paige.::

"Okay."

:: She reaches out to take the power orb from her.::

"Good girl."

::Paige smiles and licks her lips again, watching.::

:: Azura sits back with the orb, holding it in both hands. She runs her fingers over it's surface and then takes a breath, willing herself to absorb whatever power is inside it.::

:: Azura loosens her grip on the orb and looks at Paige. She doesn't feel any different. Maybe a little less apprehensive, but that's about it. For some reason she was expecting something more, something definitive.::

"How do I know what I have?"

:: She sets the empty orb down.::

"Uh, I dunno actually. Prue didn't tell me what it was when she gave it to me. Try to throw an energy ball, maybe it's that."

:: Azura raises her hand and stares at it intently as she tries to do just that. But no matter how much she wills an energy ball to form in her hand it just doesn't happen. She gives up after trying for a few minutes, lowering her hand and looking at Paige again.::

"It does not seem to be that."

:: Which is annoying because she really wants to know what she has now.::

"Huh. Well. Think of being over here beside me and try to appear here."
