I'm sorry if there's already info on vampires somewhere in the board but I've checked the library and other threads and haven't found any so I thought I'd post here.
I was just wondering, what would happen if a character gets bitten by a vampire? Supposing that character decides to get turned, does he/she have to choose to die first or get turned? Or is vamping out not allowed?

Just curious.

Characters would shift from their normal state straight to a vampire state and swap their abilities and traits to those of a vampire. There isn't a 'dead' phase, the change just happens.

The issue is not if the character choses to become a vampire, as characters don't really have a choice. It's more if the staff feel you are suitable to become a vampire, or it lends itself to a certain plot. It's not something that happens alot, infact only once with Carys has it happened.

Remember it's the staff that control the Vampire NPCs, and so you can go and beg one to turn you into a vampire or even press your pale white flesh against their teeth, but it's unlimatley our decision to allow such a thing to occur.
