Title: Luke's Ledger Vol. 2 Issue 1
Description: 30 November 2006

Bay Mirror - November 30, 2006 09:36 PM (GMT)
Previous on A Charmed World, Paige orbed her sisters to Magic School in preparation to vanquish The Source of All Evil and stupidly asked her sisters how they did it the last time, despite her being there and taking part in all three goddamned vanquishes. Fucking idiot.

...

Sorry. Wrong Charmedverse.

What the Charmed Ones did in this World was transport themselves to the Underworld to save Phoebe, who was kidnapped by The Source. They were later joined by Azura and the Halliwells fought The Source, supposedly killing him but it only backfired on Prue and Paige, who were, in turn, "killed" before their sisters eyes. An enraged Piper deployed her explosive abilities on The Source and finally disposed of them.

While Piper and Phoebe mourned the loss of their sisters, Prue and Paige hid in the Underworld, jointly serving as the new Source. They hid into civilization under glamours that suspiciously looked like Salma Hayek and Cameron Diaz, with the intent of decimating the Underworld from within. However, they were become more and more seduced by the forces of darkness. At one point, Azura, Andrea and Julie were made known about the sisters' apparent revival, though it remained a secret from the remaining Halliwell sisters.

After Paz returned from parts unknown to attend Prue and Paige's funerals, he befriended Aidan, which helped him somewhat cope with what he did as a demon the previous year. However, it wasn't enough as Paz cast a spell for personal gain that resulted in the memory erasures of everyone who had even seen, spoken to or knew Paz (which turned out to be a vast majority of the characters). Upon meeting with Veronica, the primary victim of Paz's malevolent persona, all of the memories were restored.

A month later, a flock/swarm/whatever of flying monkeys arrived at the CW Apartment complex to steal a virgin for sacrifice. However, the only magical virgin within the entire complex happened to be Veronica. Long story short, she was saved, but the monkeys' boss, Chaos, wasn't done with this magical community just yet. He granted a group of individuals (particularly Petunius, Lily, Sharon, Luke and Sera... and if there were more, you're just not that important) the gift of desire by removing their morality and allowing them to pursue anything that pleasured them without the worrying of the resulting consequences. When Chaos and his sister, Mayhem, got bored, the spell ended.

Soon enough, an Egyptian pyramid exhibit opened up at Golden Gate Park and sucked up several characters into several death traps (namely: Dante, Veronica, Sharon, Aidan, Ryo, Dar, Sera, Paz and Luke) within the ancient tomb. After declaring themselves unworthy to the Pharoah, our intrepid heroes were returned home. However, Bast got stuck and if Paz didn't find a way to bring the Pharoah's paramour back, then it would cost him his life. They succeeded and all was well.

Well, not really. Cora resurfaced and murdered a loving couple and kidnapped their child, William. After bringing the infant back to the torture chamber she calls home, her other pet, Amy, ran off with the baby and eventually found herself under the custody of the Charmed Ones (who since then, had reunited -- that is, Piper and Phoebe learned that their sisters never died). They were later distracted from this convening as a socialite demonette named Birmingham had her demons slaughter. During this, the Source overpowered Paige and killed all of the demons and continued on with her friends and family and other people she tolerates on occasion. After regaining control over her faculties, the group of heroes returned to the Manor, only to find out that Azura and Amy irresponsibly left to go out for a walk. Cora found the two and bit Amy, turning her into a vampire. Phoebe tricked her into a crystal cage (by using Luke as bait) to trap Amy in order to prevent her from permanently converting. Prue took Azura to Cora and exchanged words. Twenty-five decades later, Azura finally shut the hell up and killed the bitch dead.

Although that particular evil was vanquished, our heroes now had to deal with extracting the Source from Prue and Paige. Unfortunately, Piper and Phoebe realized that the only way to take it out was to kill their sisters -- an option they had no intention of following through with. Meanwhile in the forest, a flash of light appeared and resulted in the advancement of some of the characters' abilities from progressions (Aidan and Sharon) to completely new powers (Azura and Paz). It also embued a squirrel (named "Mouse" for whatever ludicrous reason) with the ability of human speech. Paz met Mouse and found a special ring, which had the properties of draining individuals of their magic. After several trials and errors, Paz was able to shut down Prue's powers, both witch and demonic. Unfortunately, this meant that the Source had complete control over Paige.

The ring also had devastating effects on Prue as it resulted it in the gradual loss of her life force. The Charmed Ones and their allies helped depower Paige, freeing her from the Source (and some loser got his whitelighter wings back after what seemed to be millenium or two) and Prue was saved. The Wiccan took the ring and destroyed it, releasing the Source in the process. It briefly possessed the woman, but she bravely took her own life to prevent it from corrupting her. The Wiccan, as is her wont, returned back to life and the Source disappeared to possess another demon.

And so this lengthy chapter closes to allow another one to begin.

But great article. I missed these.

Sharon - November 30, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
Error! Sharon didn't have a progression.

Dar - November 30, 2006 09:55 PM (GMT)
Wait. Yes she did. She can phase other objects. Wasn't that it?

Wesley - November 30, 2006 09:58 PM (GMT)
I thought she did as she was one of the select few that got TPTB posts when that light display happened and it was related to her powers. Unless, she was already able to do such a thing.

Sharon - November 30, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
I don't remember seeing a post saying she could do anything like that...

Wesley - November 30, 2006 10:06 PM (GMT)
Great. Now you're making me search the threads.

Dar - November 30, 2006 10:10 PM (GMT)
I'm sure she got phasing... wait... she phased people in Egypt. It might've just been objects. Once she tried to take a bottle through a door and I think it smashed...

Wesley - November 30, 2006 10:11 PM (GMT)
I'm sure it was, too. I just can't find the precise post.

Paz - November 30, 2006 10:53 PM (GMT)
Yup, she can now phase objects. I remember seeing it.

I loved the article, aw, I missed Luke's Ledger! It rocked!
