A small, modest cottage that belongs to past Anissa.

::Sleeps.::

::A group of five villagers bang on the door.::

::Anissa rolls out of bed and opens the door sleepily.::

"What...?"

"Just a routine WITCH HUNT, Miss Anissa."

::One of the men smiles at her amiably while the others enter her home and start tearing the place up.::

"Well, how rude."

::Internally Anissa panics. What if they find her-

"What's this??"

::Someone finds a locked cupboard and turns the key in the hole, opening it to reveal candles, incense and bones, stones and other such items used in evil pagan magicks.::

::Anissa ties her little puritan hat on.::

"Now, I'll have you know there is a perfectly reasonable explanation for all of this."

::Blocking the door, the villagers decide they don't want to hear Anissa's explanation.::

"Witch."

"Yes... that could be it."

::Anissa sighs.::

"Don't tell me it's not reasonable."

::Suddenly she casts a fiery hot powder from her pockets into their eyes.::

::The villagers all start shouting and yelling, their eyes burning from the powder. They stumble around, trying to grab Anissa.::

"Come here, witch!"

"Did Satan give you that, whore?"

::Anissa scowls at their insinuations and simply steps outside before closing the door quietly. It'll be a while before they can follow, so she has a few minutes before they raise the alarm. She closes her eyes. Why did she have to be one of the unlucky ones to live in this town? Not that tens of innocent people had not been killed as witches already. She's not even evil.::

(Not to those that don't deserve it...)

::Her expression clouds over with anger and she faces the house, considering setting it on fire. But she's above that. Calmly, she approaches the door and locks it with the house key which is on her person, and turns to walk into town.::

:: What is now an angry mob breaks free of Anissa's home and runs into the town.::
