An area in town where there is a raised platform and a hangman's cross. This is where people lose their lives.

:: Azura has no idea where to go, everything is so exposed! She takes one look at the hangman's cross and goes pale. She stumbles towards the town hall to see if she can hide in there.::

::Jasmine walks over to a bench and sits down, staring at the gallows. She wonders if anybody at the bank had recognised her. She wasn't sure if she saw any familiar faces. It was all such a blur. The clerk, maybe. Everybody was so new to this town, they'd hardly had a chance to get to know one another.::

(But Az and I aren't twins. What if they know it was me?)

::She chews on the inside of her cheek. That Azura had this new power was good. Then it'd look like she was on the run, therefore sealing her guilt. But...::

:: Oh guilty one!::

(Jasmine.)

::Jasmine stiffens. Believe it or not, they don't have this simple power in the past. She turns around and looks for Azura.::

:: And again just to freak Jasmine out real good.::

(Jasmine?)

::Jasmine jumps and spins around, standing now.::

"Where are you!?"

::She hisses.::

:: Azura finds the blonde and quickly moves towards her.::

"Jasmine!"

:: She lowers her voice when she reaches her.::

"Why did you not answer me?"

"I didn't see you!"

"Excuse me?"

:: And it suddenly clicks.::

"Oh. Oh..."

:: She twists her hair between her fingers for a second.::

"Sorry. There was an officer at the house."

::Whatever colour remains on Jasmine's face drains quickly.::

"Another one?"

:: Azura nods her head slowly.::

"He wants to see both of us at the station."

::Jasmine looks really sick.::

"Oh."

:: And Azura looks disgusted.::

"Would it be all that terrible if we did not show up?"

"They're the police! We have to go, Az."

"No we do not! Not when it is obvious that they want us for something which is not questioning in any sense of the word."

::Jasmine frowns, genuinely not getting it right now.::

"Jasmine, that man was leering at me."

:: Again there is disgust.::

::Jasmine's mouth opens then suddenly she looks angry. She moves forward and grips onto Azura's wrist.::

"Look. What happens between me and certain people has nothing to do with you and never will. Now you know that this is not something we talk about so I will appreciate it if you would kindly-

::Digs nails in.::

- stop bringing it up."

:: Azura hisses in pain like the big wimp she is.::

"I would not have had to bring it up if that nice officer had not invited me along, now would I?"

"That's not how they do it! So shut up!"

"So I was mistaken when he asked to see us both at the station as soon as possible? And let us not forget the less than appropriate look that he gave me."

"Well he doesn't know it's you, anyway. But believe me, you're wrong. Christ. Why would they even want to see you at all? And you're not even attractive like this! You look like a criminal or something!"

"Thank you for the compliment."

:: Azura intones dryly.::

"What are we going to do?"

::Jasmine sighs.::

"If you're that paranoid, I'll go. You can hide under a bench in the town hall since that's what you seem to enjoy doing."

"Jasmine-"

:: Azura cuts herself off before she anger the woman again.::

"No... no, that is not what I want for you."

"I don't even know how you suddenly know so much about it!"

::Jasmine glances around, knowing it's a bad idea for them to be fighting like this in a public place.::

"I can hardly not know anything with the way that man was looking at me!"

:: Azura speaks in a harsh, but quiet voice.::

"He's a man! What do you expect?"

"There was still no need for it. I am not some sort of toy, Jasmine."

::Jasmine rolls her eyes and turns away, starting to walk. It's either that or wallop Azura across the face.::

"What do you want me to do?"

:: Azura quickly follows Jasmine. She looks upset.::

"I do not know..."

"You could just listen to me for once and believe me. I'm the one that knows how it all works."

::Huffy stompy Jaz.::

"Right. And I obviously imagined the conversation back at the house."

"Oh, just get out of my hair, will you? I'm going home."

::Jasmine sends a psychic blast into Azura's head to give her time to run home.::

:: Azura grunts and holds onto her head, but has enough sense to cling onto her glamoured form while she waits for her wits to return to her. When they do, she quickly heads home.::
