Past Luke lives here with his wife and baby boy.

::Luke finds the house and is a little hesitant about entering.::

(What if there's more irate townspeople here?)

::He peers into one of the windows of the house.::

::Someone is moving around within the house, but it's fairly dark inside. A baby is crying.::

::Luke walks further towards the back of the house and finds an open window. He hoists himself over the lower frame and crawls into the house. However, Luke makes a quite a bit of noise as he falls to the floor.::

"Dammit."

::A voice comes through from another room.::

"Luke? Is that you?"

(A non-threatening voice and she appears to know who I am... or him. Whatever.)

::Luke thinks this over for a little bit and after said pondering, he decides that he may as well trust whoever it is. If not, he could always orb away.::

"In here!"

"I'm feeding the baby."

::Sharon calls through from where she sits on the bed breastfeeding a small baby boy.::

"Baby?"

::Luke whispers to himself. He walks to the bedroom and spots his past life's wife and son. At this, his eyes widen in confusion.::

(What's going on here?)

::Sharon glances up and her eyes warm at the sight of Luke. She looks so utterly at peace right now, like everything has just slot into place for her and she's found where she's meant to be in this life.::

"We've been missing you."

"We?"

::Sharon smiles.::

"Jimmy's been smiling a lot. Come and see."

::She holds the baby out to him.::

::Luke is hesitant at first, though he decides to play along. He picks up Jimmy and looks to the little guy.::

(I can't believe I... er, he killed all of these people and he has a nice family. He deserves to get beheaded. I need to find a way to get back to 2007.)

"Sharon...?"

::He guesses that's her name, due to her physical resemblance to the Sharon of his time.::

"...what's today's date?"

"Why, I don't know. I've not been keeping track. The very beginning of January. You've been gone for a while; you missed the new year turning in."

"I know."

(And I didn't even get to kiss Phoebe when the clock struck twelve.)

::He sounds upset, but not for being away from Sharon and Jimmy.::

"This year's going to be good for us, Luke."

::Sharon stands up and buttons up her blouse. She then looks anxious, her hands resting on her stomach.::

(Hardly.)

::Luke walks over to window, looking out for an angry mob.::

(Surely they don't know where he lives, otherwise they would've been here by now.)

"Luke..."

::Sharon approaches him and then takes the baby from him. She places him in the cot beside the bed and watches him for a moment, building up courage.::

"What is it, Sharon?"

::Sharon walks up to Luke and smiles sadly into his eyes.::

"I'm..."

::She only looks afraid because she's worried about his reaction.::

"We're going to have another baby."

"Oh..."

::Luke continues the charade with a smile, if only to not alter time.::

(You're going to have another baby because I'm killing your husband myself as soon as I get my hands on him.)

"...great."

"I know it's a big thing but... but... well..."

::She smiles.::

"I'm so happy."

::She leans up to kiss him.::

::Luke backs away slightly.::

"Let's not do this right now, Sharon. I heard it's bad for the baby."

::Sharon frowns.::

"I'm not allowed to kiss you?"

::She smiles, laughing at him.::

"As attractive as you are, love, I can resist you every now and then."

::Luke feels the need to soothe his own ego and a slight grin appears on his face.::

"But you're having a hard time doing it, aren't you?"

"Oh, no, not really."

::Sharon teases him with the soft smile still on her face. She steps towards him again and puts a hand on his chest, fiddling with his shirt button.::

"Surely we should wait."

::Luke gently removes Past Sharon's fingers from the aforementioned button.::

"We don't want too big of a family just yet."

"I doubt you could do very much damage now, silly."

::She pats her stomach and turns away still smiling happily to play with little baby Jimmy's legs, cycling them in the air above him.::

"Denying your wife a simple kiss... how cruel of you."

"You have to be cruel to be kind."

(Wonder if that was a cliché even back then.)

"Oh yes?"

::The smiles slowly fades as Sharon thinks about what little she knows of what Past Luke has been doing. She knows he might be in trouble, but that's all.::

"Where have you been all day?"

::She tries to keep her voice light and comfortable.::

("I time traveled one hundred something years in the past and all I got was a lousy guillotine"? That won't cut it.)

::Luke swallows.::

"Uh... walking."

::Sharon keeps her back turned.::

"I heard the Sheriff might be looking for you."

(Just to talk, please, just for... business.)

"Wh-where'd you hear that from?"

::Sharon doesn't reply.::

"Sharon..."

::He pauses for a moment, trying to come up with something to say, but nothing comes out.::

(Why am I defending this asshole? I should tell her about her husband's secret life. Unless she already knows...)

"You're in trouble again, aren't you?"

::Sharon bows her head, tears forming in her eyes.::

"Yeah."

::Luke places a hand on Sharon's shoulder.::

"It's pretty bad."

(He doesn't sound worried.)

"What... what have you done?"

::She braces herself for either a horrible answer or Luke's anger that she's questioning in him.::

"I might have to go soon. I can't have you and Jimmy and..."

::He glances down to Sharon's belly.::

"... the new kid involved. At least not yet. I'll find us somewhere else to live."

::Luke tries changing the subject, looking to Sharon's stomach again.::

"What do you want to name him... or her?"

"Well you always wanted another little Luke running around."

::Sharon doesn't sound very happy. Maybe because she's not.::

(I can't continue this; I need to get back home.)

"Sharon, if I tell you something that you wouldn't like, will you ever forgive me?"
