In the middle of the ground floor is an impressive fountain which sprinkles water into the air before catching it in its pool. Pennies and other coins are scattered at the bottom, where people have made wishes on it. Fat fish swim lazily around. They're huge. Hopefully they don't try to eat the pennies cos that would suck. You can sit on the wall but signs tell you not to feed the fish. Another sign reads that all money goes to the cancer research.

::Katarin takes a seat on the edge of the fountain and fishes through her pocket for a coin to toss.::

(Maybe this will bring me some luck...)

::She tosses the coin into the water and watches it hit the bottom after making a small splash, getting her hand wet.::

(I would wish for something specific, but I don't know what I'm looking for. Maybe, I should hope to find whatever's missing.)

::Katarin decides to check out Persepolis, shimmering out and hoping for a smooth landing.::

:: Velma sits on the wall of the fountain and leans back so that she can trail her fingers in the water. Her gaze follows the fish as they swim around.::

::Dante and Veronica wander past. He pauses and stares into the water, wondering what the punk on the edge was so interested in::

::Veronica makes an illusion of a fish appear out of sight. It then appears into view and swims over to Velma before sticking its head out of the water and speaking to her.::

"Get outta my face, punk!"

::Veronica is hoping Velma will get freaked out and think she's crazy. She, herself, ignores the event completely and knows Dante will be doing the same.::

::He makes a point of not looking at the fish::

:: Velma draws her hand back quick, the only other indication that she got a fright is her open mouth. She stares at the illusion, then at the other fish in the water.::

::Dante creates a fish now. His can't talk, but it swims really fast in a circle then appears to blow up under water. Again, he makes a point of not looking::

::The fish keeps talking, all New York.::

"Water's for fish, and you ain't no fish. Get your filthy mitts away or you'll regret it."

::It turns around now.::

"WAS THAT YOU!? Eddie! You okay? Speak to me!!"

::Veronica ignores all this.::

:: Velma glances around her, she wonders if anyone else is aware of this. Now she leans in close and tries to grab the talking fish.::

::Velma's hands will go through nothing as it was just an illusion. Veronica starts now, turning to stare.::

"What the hell are you doing!?"

:: Velma catches herself before she topples into the fountain. She searches for the source of the voice.::

"Catching fish."

::Said fish is gone now. Veronica allowed it to disappear as soon as Velma looked away.::

"You better watch out. I hear there's sharks in this water."

:: Velma stares at the water as if contemplating this as truth.::

"Small pool."

::A shark fin, courtesy of Dante surfaces and darts towards Velma::

:: Velma sits back but she doesn't move away from the fountain. She knows the thing isn't deep enough to house a shark, but still, where the heck is it coming from? She glances at Veronica and Dante.::

"Stop undressing me with your eyes."

::Yeah, that old chestnut again::

"Why would I do that?"

:: Velma twists so that her back is to the water, and grips onto the sides so that she can lean back.::

"You tell us. You're the one doing it."

"Narcisstist."

:: Velma gazes at Dante now.::

"Oh good, another lesbian. This place attracts them like... a lesbian orgy."

:: Velma wrinkles her nose.::

"Don't kiss girls."

"I bet you get straight to the hardcore. Gross."

(Why am I harassing her over this?!)

:: Velma gives Dante a weird look. And she's supposed to be odd?::

"Why're you telling me this?"

"I don't even know..."

::He frowns::

"Punk."

"Isn't that a 70s thing?"

"Just like yo mama."

"..."

:: Velma is wondering what this really odd guy is all about. She smirks at him.::

::Dante whispers loudly to Veronica::

"She has the eyes of a serial killer."

"She looks like a tree."

:: Velma continues to lean back over the water.::

"Insecure."

"Yeah, you are."

::He's tempted to give her a push into the water::

"Yeah, you are."

:: Velma looks at him blankly.::

::Veronica pushes Velma into the water.::

:: Splash! Velma finds herself drenched and sitting with the fish. She lies back and opens her mouth, allowing icky fountain water in before she sits up and tilts her head back. She then spits it out of her mouth slowly, mini fountain style.::

::Veronica stares in disgust and talks sideways to Dante.::

"What a freak. Did you see how she took a dive there?"

"She probably tried to make out with the fish. Sick punk."

"What are you? Some kind of olympic diver?"

::He shakes his fist at her::

"I got news for you! That fountain isn't olympic length. It won't count in your training! A wasted dive!"

"Looks to me like her whole life is wasted."

::Veronica averts her eyes from Velma, evidently too disgusted by her to even bear looking at her. She shakes her head, disapproving of the pathetic vermin before them.::

"I bet she does steroids. How else could she develope those powerful looking arms and legs in order to compete against the worlds best and brightest in the aquatic world?"

"Maybe she's just fat."

::Veronica pauses.::

"Wait. Moira?"
