Hello, and welcome to Black Point Apartments. My name is Sir Basil Hostington. Yes, I am a knight. Funny, isn't it? that a man as grand as I should be in such a line of work, particularly in this little old corner of the world. Yes. Funny. Very amusing. Comical. Facetious. Hysterical. Just a bit of a laugh, eh?

Well, enough about me. Here's what I have to offer you:

• Four bedroom apartment

The penthouse suite is also available to a renter at my own discretion.

If there are any problems or queries, do come along and see me. Please respect working and waking hours, however, and only disturb me in the night if it is an emergency. Thank you.

::Jasmine and Sharon rush in, giggling. They stop once they're past the threshold of the room and Jasmine looks around.::

"Wow, it really is different!"

::She walks over to the desk and looks at the name plaque, picking it up and turning it over idly.::

"Sir Basil Hostington? Wow, we've got a knight as a landlord."

::She frowns.::

"That name seems familiar..."

"Does it?"

::Sharon doesn't care.::

(A knight! It must be a nice place.)

::She sharply taps the bell on the desk three times.::

::Jasmine takes the time to have a good sniff around, thoroughly impressed with the cleanness of it all.::

::Basil enters from a door behind the desk and smiles genuinely at the women.::

"Good morning, ladies. I sincerely hope I can help you today. Come in, make yourselves at home. Do you take tea?"

::He gestures at a silver kettle on a table with cups stacked beside it.::

::Sharon smiles happily, thoroughly excited about the new apartments now.::

"Yes we do. Milk, no sugar."

::Does Jasmine take it like that? Meh, who cares? Posh apartments!::

::Moments later, Basil hands Jasmine and Sharon cups of tea.::

"Please, sit down."

::He smiles in a knightly fashion and takes a seat himself, in front of the desk so they can see him properly.::

"So. Are you here to have a look around the building or just seeing how many places will offer you tea?"

::Jasmine chuckles good-naturedly.::

"Looking. And admittedly the spoiling is a nice touch."

::Paz enters, his eyes scanning every surface to inspect it. This place sure is a lot nicer than CW Apartments ever was, but hey, that place was home. He leads Andrea, Julie, Sera and Meredith in behind him and approaches the desk, near two very familiar ladies.::

"Well fancy seeing you here."

::He does kind of feel bad that they've brought Meredith along with, and he knows that Jasmine will kind of feel that should she focus on him.::

::Jasmine looks really surprised to see everybody. Someone didn't tell her they were planning on coming, Sharon.::

"..."

(Motherfucking whore!)

::She just smiles stupidly.::

"Mary, what on earth have you been up to?"

::Basil rises and opens an arm to Meredith.::

"Have you been walking the streets looking for poor people to steal them for here?"

"Mm, maybe."

::Meredith just smiles and walks over to Basil, moving so his arm is in the small of her back and kissing him on the cheek.::

"Hi daddy."

::Jasmine stares. Then smacks herself on the forehead.::

::Andrea stares for a moment, then laughs and shakes her head.::

"Suddenly it becomes all clear why you were so enthusiastic about this place."

::She elbows Sera lightly.::

"That's a sly one you've got there, Ser."

(Daddy?!)

::Paz's eyebrows furrow as he looks at Meredith and the potential new landlord.::

(He's her father? Or he's her gross old sex master who she calls 'daddy'... Please god, please, let it be the first one!)

::Meredith blushes lightly and smiles shyly at the others.::

"Yeah... okay, so this is my dad's place. But it's really great, honest. Especially compared to the last dump you lived in. Have a look around if you don't believe me. And my dad's a great man."

"Well, I am a knight, you know."

::Basil tucks his thumbs into his waistcoat and beams proudly, though he's joking. Sorta.::

"Mary can be a little sneaky like that. I do apologise."

"Can you blame me? I just want you to do well, daddy."

::She smiles at him, then moves away to introduce him to her friends.::

"This is my father, Sir Basil Hostington. Dad, these are my friends."

(God, did I tell Sera...?)

::Sharon raises her eyebrow.::

(Not for long.)

"It's a pleasure."

::Basil smiles widely.::

"Now, I was with these young ladies first, so if you'll excuse me for now I'll be with you as quickly as possible."

"I'll help you, daddy."

::Meredith smiles and then looks apologetically at the others.::

"Trust me."

::She winks at Sera, then looks at her father, as if afraid. Swallowing, she gestures Andrea and Julie over to the desk then crosses to the other side. She mutters to them in a low voice.::

"Okay, the only problem is my dad's a bit... nn... you know... about... same sex relationships. He's lovely, really, but he's old-fashioned. So it's probably best I process most of these anyway."

::She looks up at Andrea with worried eyes.::

"You're not mad at me?"

::Andrea smiles and shakes her head.::

"No, I'd so have done the same thing."

::She nudges Julie, wanting to put her arm around her.::

"Well Mary, you know the place best, so suit our needs or we'll get you fired."

::Meredith looks relieved and starts tapping on the computer.::

"You got it. But if you call me Mary ever again, I'll tear your guts out."

::Andrea turns to Julie and murmurs quietly, but loud enough for Meredith to hear.::

"You know when you can't tell if someone is being serious or not...?"

::Meredith grins at this and presses enter.::

"All right, ladies. I've put you in somewhere you'll be able to afford easily. It's en suite and everything. I know how much that impresses you, Andso."

::She looks up at them, all smiles and cheer.::

"Shall I show you up? Obviously you have final approval before anything is properly settled."

::Paz laughs, shaking his head as Andrea speaks. So cute! He looks around, and decides that indeed, this place will do, and with a landlord that's not a disgusting letch, it's all good!::

(Wonder if I can get a penthouse again...)

"Now."

::Basil is sitting once more with Sharon and Jasmine.::

"What is it exactly you ladies are looking for? And, forgive me for asking..."

::He turns to Sharon and looks at her with an intrigued expression.::

"But where exactly is it that I recognise you from?"

"Oh my god."

::Andrea's practically buzzing on her feet.::

"I'm so excited. Isn't this amazing? Everything feels so new!"

::Meredith just chuckles.::

"It is new, Andy."

::She looks past the couple at Paz.::

"Hey, Paz. I can show you the place next door if you'd like? Saves me traipsing up and down the stairs. You know us Aussies and our laziness and our beer-drinking."

(No penthouse?)

"Um, yeah sure... But there isn't a penthouse available at all, is there?!

::Oh, the cheek! He looks a little uncomfortable asking, though.::

::Meredith looks even more comfortable.::

"Yeah... but it's kinda... mine..."

::Oh the shame!::

"Oh my god! Why don't I have a rich landlord dad?"

::Hearing Andrea's outburst, Basil turns in his seat. He looks a little disgruntled.::

"Everything okay, Mary?"

::Jasmine groans inwardly and rubs her temples, leaning forward in her seat while Basil is looking away.::

(This is just so freaking typical. That girl was created to be the bane of my existence, I just know it.)

::Remembering who's present, she sits up and looks unfazed by what's going on. The last thing she wants is for Meredith or - worse - Sera to see her reactions.::

::Paz grimmaces when Basil calls out, and turns his head back toward Meredith after having looked at the Propietor.::

"Oh, yeah. Okay then. Let's have a look see!"

(No penthouse!)

::Looking really embarrassed, Meredith keeps her face low and types a few more details into the computer. She then clears her throat and smiles at her friends politely.::

(Sometimes being a Daddy's Girl really sucks.)

"Shall we?"

::She takes a few sets of keys and nods towards the door.::

"Ser, come too. See what you're in for."

::Smiling, she leads Paz, Andrea, Julie and Sera to the elevator.::

::Sharon gives Jasmine a meaningful look and then summons up a smile for Basil.::

"What's the best kind of apartment you have on offer?"

"For the sole renter I have lovely places with a spare bedroom, separate kitchen and living areas, a balcony overlooking the city, en suite and second bathroom... how about I just show you it?"

(I suppose I may as well.)

"Okay."

::Sharon nods and tries to sound enthusiastic as she stands up, but she's not ecstatic. Goddamn Meredith. She gives Jasmine a hand to help her up.::

"This way."

::Basil leads them up to Sharon's Apartment.::
