"Here we are, Ms. Kelly."
::Basil had acquired Lirie's name on the brief journey up. He unlocks the apartment and steps aside; ladies first.::
"As you can see, it has all of the necessary amenities and several unnecessary. The view looks out over one of the nicer parts of the city and I think you might appreciate the balcony."
::He certainly seems to.::
"What do you think?"
Lirie - December 13, 2007 11:26 AM (GMT)
:: Lirie steps into the flat, warily inspecting it. It's nice - spacious, bright, clean. She hadn't seen nice for a long time. For some reason, she wants her musty penthouse back. ::
"It'll have to do. Thank you. Now, if you could just tell where I could find my friends, I'd be obliged."
(Maybe they'll know where to look for Petunius and Toots. And if not? We'll go strolling through the cemetary...)

::Basil raises an eyebrow, but doesn't say anything against Lirie's request.::
"This way."
::He walks her to Julie and Andrea's apartment.::
Lirie - February 23, 2008 10:49 AM (GMT)
:: Lirie walks in, taking a good look. She hadn't set a foot in her own apartment since renting it. She had slept at Andrea's once, and... has she slept again? It had been three days, she couldn't have slept only once! Her aching muscles tell her otherwise.
She shrugs out of her jacket, tossing the book on a table before making her way to the bedroom and from there to the bathroom. She kicks her boots off and peels away her clothes, stepping into the steaming shower and washing away the grime of passed days. She feels somewhat odd feeling this tired after only three days. In Lebanon she used to survive on total of ten hours of sleep during five days' period. She has been more tired before, but now somehow, this feels worse.
Having finished with the shower, she leaves the bathroom, clad in nothing but a towel. She takes some things from the closet - cause lets assume her baggage arrived after her and had been sorted out and placed on shelves - and after slipping into a large tshirt she crawls under the covers and sets her alarm clock for two hours from now. Before long, she's fast asleep. ::
Lirie - February 23, 2008 02:11 PM (GMT)
:: Lirie stirs, waking up before the alarm clock has a chance to go off and instantly shuts it down. She won't fall asleep again, she knows as much, so she might as well get moving. She leaves the bed, making it after herself and moves to the closet, picking out some pants and a jumper and quickly getting dressed. She moves to the bathroom and after finishing there, heads to the living room. Picking up her jacket, which she had discarded earlier on the floor, she grabs the book and is about to step outside when a thought strikes her and she locks the door instead. Using the all too familiar muscle even after all these years, Lirie puddlifies and slips into the hallways under the door. ::
Lirie - April 15, 2008 09:37 AM (GMT)
:: Picking the note off the door, Lirie reads it with a frown, trying to remember who she knows of that has the tendency of calling her 'Brownie'. She remembers the Nawlinsian ex-cop and ooohhhs, stepping into her flat and tossing the note onto the table. ::
(Pancakes... maybe later.)
:: Mind still vacant, Lirie heads to her bedroom, peeling off all of her clothes and heading into the shower. ::
Lirie - April 15, 2008 04:07 PM (GMT)
:: Lirie hops out of the shower and heads to the bedroom to change into dry clothes. She had noticed quiet rumbling in her stomach and figures this might be as good time as any to stake that claim of the proffered pancakes. All done and dressed, Lirie twists her hair up into a bun and steps back into her bookts - she doesn't own slippers since her religion prohibits the use of homey footwear - and offs to the hallway. ::
