The city of The Magical Faraway Land of La Da Diddle Dee Dee. This consists of quaint little huts made of mud and sticks. It appears empty, however.

[Abby and Josie are spat out of a swirling vortex and land on the roof of one of the houses.]

::Josie gets up, rubbing her plumb behind.::

"Woo! That was fun!"

::Abby lands and rolls, her body naturally trying to protect itself. It protects itself right off the edge of the house and she flips through the air with a loud squeal. Unseen by Josie - hopefully - vines burst from the ground below and hook underneath the nymph's arms, swinging her down to the ground with a thump onto her feet. They sink back below the ground while Abby stands there collecting her senses.::

::Josie crawls over to the edge, trying not to roll down into impending doom and calls down.::

"Abby, are you okay?"

::Abby looks up and gives a smile and flourish.::

"Ta da!"

"Great! I'm gonna jump and you catch me, okay?"

::Abby looks amused.::

"Uh huh? Is that what you are going to do?"

"Yeah."

::Josie jumps off the roof, diver style.::

"Josie!"

::Abby's eyes widen in fright. She can't catch her! The nymph curses her situation and rescues Josie in much the same way she rescued herself. The ground splits at her feet once more as vines shoot up. Ivy from the side of the mud hut that had probably helped support it also tears off and catches the fury around the ankles as the vines slip around her waist, slowing her down and then stopping her flight gently.::

"What did you go and do that for? Now look what you have made me do!"

"Woah! That was totally unexpected! But thanks! You just saved my life. So what is it you do then? Control plants? Like that girl in Sky High!"

::Abby blinks and, rather than letting Josie down, uses one of the vines to lift herself up to the same height.::

"So this is not odd to you?"

::She's intoning it more like a statement than a question, but is still asking.::

"Well, I haven't met anyone before who could control plants. But it's not odd, quite nifty actually. I mean, I know people who can like hear thoughts, see the future, move things with their mind, but this one is new."

::Josie nods a lot.::

::Abby listens intently, but most of what Josie says goes over her head.::

"Hm."

::She sounds interested, then smiles and digs into her pocket. She pulls out a handful of petals and blows them into Josie's face with a smile. There's no magic involved, just Abby being Abby.::

::Josie giggles lots. She loves it.::

"I can't do anything cool like that."

"Oh no?"

::Abby gets a cheeky look on her face. She gives Josie a teasing smile.::

"Watch this."

::She camouflages, going completely invisible. However, if she makes any big movements and if Josie is paying attention, the fury should see the air ripple and even make out what Abby's doing/where she's going... if she gets good.::

::Josie only catches small glimpses of Abby's physical self, but if she follows the nymph's feeling she knows where she is. Suckah.::

"That is freaking AMAZING!!"

::Abby giggles with childlike pleasure and reappears. And is then launched into the air by her vine, letting herself go and shooting upwards.::

"Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"

"Wooo!!"

::Josie watches in awe.::

::Abby reaches the peak of her flight before the fall begins. She scopes out the area, looking for any sign of person or place that'd seem good to visit. There doesn't appear to be much, but she now knows they're on the coast because she can see the sea. The nymph throws up an explosion of flowers in the air as she begins her descent, and catches herself on the way down for a slightly wobbly landing on the ground. At this point, she also lowers Josie down and smiles at her.::

"I am a nymph of the forest. My domain is the earth."

::Josie claps.::

"What a show! You should be on Broadway."

::She smiles wide.::

"A nymph... huh. So, what would happen if you were in the desert?"

"The same as if anybody else was in the desert."

::Abby shrugs.::

"Though I can survive in any place, really. I have the power of growth, do I not?"

::She smiles.::

"I have saved myself and others from starving many times before. Are you hungry? What do you like?"

::She crouches at the ground, poised to grow anything Josie wishes for.::

"Pear, please. But like, how can you grow stuff in the desert with the lack of water?"

::Abby just shrugs. An entire tree begins to grow from the ground beneath her hands.::

"Why, you pick the most difficult thing, I see! Root vegetables are far easier."

::She smiles, but it's clear this is actually straining her quite a lot. Her jaw has set and her eyes are half-shut as she gently guides the tree upwards. It begins to flower and then grow fruit.::

::Josie jaw drops.::

"Incredible."

::Abby wipes her brow and picks one of the pears for Josie. She pauses.::

"Hang on. It is not quite ripe."

::She holds it for a moment, breathing deeply. Then she hands it over.::

"Okay, much better!"

(Whew.)

::The nymph takes a seat now and sits at the base of the tree, leaning against the thin trunk.::

"Wow."

::Josie inspects the fruit. Really impressed. She extends one of her claws and slices a piece offering it to Abby.::

"Thanks."

::Abby reaches up and takes the pear, munching away.::

::Josie sits back and relaxes, slicing another piece for herself.::

"Mmm, this is the best pear I've ever had."

::She eats happily.::

"So wet and juicy... oh no, it's dripping on me."

"Haha, I am afraid I have no magic cure for that other than careful eating."

::Abby smiles and lazily twists her head to look at the fury beside her.::

"You know, you have very long nails. They remind me of a bad woman I used to know."

::Josie wipes up her mess.::

"Really?"

::She retracts her claws.::

"Bad how?"

::Abby goes a little quiet.::

"She just was. And hers could go in like that, too."

::The nymph moves onto her knees now as she turns to face Josie properly.::

"You lied to me."

"Abby, no. I didn't lie to you. What would I have to lie to you about?"

::Josie looks upset, she doesn't want to lose her new friend.::

"I'm not bad."

"You said you could do nothing special, and that there, that is magic."

::Different realisations are presenting themselves to Abby now and the nymph gets up quickly, pointing accusingly at Josie.::

"Why, you are a demon, just like she was!"

"Abby, calm down. I said that I couldn't do anything cool like you could. I never said I couldn't do magic."

::Josie stay seated and as much as she wants to mess with Abby's feelings and make her feel less scared of her, she doesn't.::

"I'm a furie. I punish wrong doers like, demons, warlocks, criminals, etc. I didn't lie to you."

::The nymph bounces on her toes for a moment, as if unsure whether she should run away or not. She pouts, not knowing whether to believe Josie or not. So she just scowls a bit for now.::

::Josie pouts.::

"I'm sorry. But I really wasn't lying to you. What I do is nowhere near as enchanting as what you do."

::A certain word makes Abby's features melt and she suddenly plops down on her knees before Josie, looking all soft-eyed.::

"You think it is enchanting?"

::Abby's heart: ba-dum, ba-dum, ba-dum, ba-dum.::

::The furie's expression goes just as mellow as she nods.::

"Mhm!"

"Nnn..."

::Abby looks touched.::

"Aww! That is the sweetest thing anybody has ever said to me!"

::Yeah, Abby. The sweetest thing today perhaps.::
