::Emery pushes the door handle open with her foot and then kicks the door in - gently. Her new office greets her eyes. It's pretty small. And stuffy. And there's only one tiny window. The stifling heat of broken air in San Francisco hits her and she sits, shoulders slumping, and walks in. She dumps files onto the desk and turns on the computer before standing up and having a look around. There's an 'I Want to Believe' poster on the wall. She rolls her eyes.::

"Very funny, boys."

(It's people I deal with. Not aliens. Well. Maybe not.)

::She takes down the poster because, as much as she doesn't mind it, she is a professional. It might look good in her bedroom at home. Oh yes. The detective inspector sits down and gets right to work, pulling up her files on the computer and starting to scribble some notes. She orders a whiteboard and a map. And makes a timeline of events. She feels excited.::

::Hours later, Emery is engrossed in watching some videos. After a long time, she gets up and walks to the cells.::
