The drama and suspense of A Charmed World is building up so much that I can hardly contain myself. And the same can be said for Meredith, so she got so sick with her newfound abilities that she initiated the slaughter of a couple of dozen of innocents at our favorite pub, The Cot and Sod, and set up a poor schmuck named Gus to take the fall. The Bay Mirror was, of course, on the scene and cataloged everything to its gruesome details thanks to fellow staff members, Nico and Quinn. But we'll get back that later as we need to get to the meat and bones of this tale of OMG! shock.
Meredith's rampage didn't end there, of course. She decided that Melinda should be the next person on her hit list and tracked the child at Golden Gate Park while she was spending a marvelous day of fun with Ozy and Dar. The two lovebirds tried their best to protect Melinda and succeeded, but at the expense of Dar receiving a horrific blast of mental energy so cataclysmic that it shattered her nervous system and made her a living vegetable. Despite several healing attempts, Dar was not revived and Meredith was prepared to inflict this further pain on Ozy and Melinda. However in the nick of time, Azura and Jasmine cast a spell to bind Meredith's powers with an enchanted bracelet. Petunius, Paz and Jasmine then proceeded to vanquish Meredith for good. Majora, while heartbroken by this turn of events, accepted that Meredith brought this upon herself and left without a word. I think he might've been more upset that she wasn't ground up in a blender, flogged savagely by a porcupine or drowned in a vat of lard. I know I was.
And regardless of her vanquish, Meredith remains to be a thorn in our sides even today. Her relationship with Majora has been seen as a sign of weakness in his role as the King of the Underworld to his subjects, who in turn started a mutiny and went on a rampage on the global witch population. The vampires took this as an advantage to kill whomever they desired now that their agreement with Majora was null and void. Our heroes tried to draw the vampires to neutral territory so that they could cast a spell to make night into day. This plan never came to fruition, but that didn't seem to matter too much as Aoife got stabbed by Azura and traumatized poor Veronica even more. Stuffy English whore.
As a result of said vanquish, many of their legion had also met their demise. However, some such as the triplets were able to escape with their afterlives as they weren't sired by Aoife. This brought forth a reason to celebrate and our heroes did have a merry old time with the Bogatyr, a group of Russian knights that greatly assisted in the battle.
Sera got bit by a vampire during that little spat, but was later converted back to normalcy. The frowning slut frowned a frowning frown when Jasmine told her that she didn't believe in love. Sera was all "Frown you, Jasmine!" and does what she does best. Well, second-best... shop for expensive cars and drive them like an obnoxious asshole.
That didn't last much as her, Andrea, and well, everyone was needed at the mansion for the mother of all shockers -- Paige had been stripped of her whitelighter duties due to her recent behavior and stress and announced that she is reopening P3 and stepping down as headmistress and as a professor.
Meanwhile in other parts, Nico and a quartet of young people are working together to examine the secrets of San Francisco and have started with Black Point Apartments and Velma. Unfortunately for them, Velma managed to get away from those meddling kids and they are at a dead end for the moment.
