Further to the promise that the new suburbs forum has (it has promise, honest), I want to add a new location forum with places from the city in it. This will largely be used, from my point of view, as a way to do 'mini quests' like Paige and Melinda did with the ghost of Guinevere Pound. I've swayed away from what I feel to be 'pointless threads' because I hate pointless posts like ::Andrea goes to the café, sits down, has some tea, gets up and goes to the gym.:: ::Andrea gets changed, gets on a treadmill, says 'fuck it' and goes to the pet shop.:: ::Andrea giggles at the dogs that look like Azura.:: and so on, but I am planning on having very specific buildings where very specific things, good and bad, go on.

If any of you have any ideas for threads/subforums then help me out.

What would actually be pretty good is AREAS of San Fran, which could include coastal places too. Maybe we could get Alcatraz in.

Could you also tell me what you think about the main page expanding too? I could do a big forum called "The City" then subforums with "Areas" inside it, which would then contain the threads - it'd be like the "Other Locations" forum, or I could just have the main forum for each area on the main page, which would be about four or five extras. It's just cos I'm sure you know that sometimes posts get lost in the Other Locations forum due to other threads in other forums being posted in and nobody noticing the original one.

Sorry if that was confusing, please ask and I'll clarify. But yeah, just names of areas and what they're characterised for would be wonderful. I'm too busy/lazy/uninterested to look up anything other than my guess there's a Chinatown.

The main forum might end up looking too busy...

Nothing too specific cos then I have to be accurate and I don't like that pressure. Just generic sort of city places.

Like (this isn't helpful), but if I was to do Edinburgh, I'd have like the Old Town with stuff like Underground Vaults, The Castle, Princes St, The Gardens (okay maybe I would be specific :P but I know this city); the New Town with residential and business areas, Leith with its prostitutes and boats, and hookers on boats, and fishmongers and general grime, you know, areas that have a character.

So I guess generic but also not flagrant over-imagination. I don't want to make place names up, but like streets and stuff is cool. But mainly it's the character of the place I'm after. Like a nice apple pie kinda place (guess that's the suburbs), the CBD, the shithole, etc.

Too bad San Fran ain't old enough to have vaults. OMG ACW should move to my city...
