History: Jacob "Jake" Finch Rodriguez hails from Washington state, a product of the foster system for the most part. He spent most of his youth traveling between foster homes, creating a sense of independence early on for him. When he was sixteen, he filed for legal emancipation, and received it. He moved to Seattle, where for a while he worked in independent studies before entering into college.

He graduated with a degree in criminal justice, and two years later he was hired on by the U.S. Federal Marshals. He spent several years working in the Fugitive Pursuit Division before leaving and creating Fallen Angel, Inc., a private investigations bureau with a staff of one.

Author's Note: He smokes four packs of Silk Cut cigarettes a day.
