Title: Wynter's Mansion

Gatekeeper - April 4, 2008 01:41 PM (GMT)
::The Gatekeeper flames in with Wynter.::

"Look around, though it'll take a long time."

::He smiles at the room they're in. It's vast and illustrious. Ornate furniture is dotted around; beautiful (stolen) paintings on adorn the walls. There is a snake, non-poisonous but some fifteen foot long all the same, coiled and draped across a chaise-longue.::

Wynter - April 4, 2008 01:44 PM (GMT)
::Wynter steps into the mansion, her eyes wide with wonder, much like a young child entering a toy store. She takes in all her sights, including the snake. She walks closer to the chaise lounge, holding her hand out and letting her finger tips touch the cool scales of the snake. After a couple of seconds, she nods her head and turns back towards the Gatekeeper.::

"Wynter approves. Payment?"

::She lets the question hang in the air, unsure of how she is supposed to be paying for such a beautiful home.::

Gatekeeper - April 4, 2008 02:03 PM (GMT)
"Above ground, this place would cost millions. In rent. Here?"

::The gatekeeper shrugs.::

"We'll fix that later, shall we?"

::He smiles. Creepily.::

Wynter - April 4, 2008 02:18 PM (GMT)
::The creepy smile is all but lost on Wynter. She ignores it, nodding her head to the Gatekeeper.::

"Question."

::She says aloud, trying to form the word in her head.::

"Source. High power demon. How does Wynter contact one?"

::Wynter looks at the Gatekeeper with a series look in her eyes, her personal wish to get an assignment from the Source for a job.::

Gatekeeper - April 4, 2008 02:26 PM (GMT)
"The Source. There's only one of them."

::From Wynter's speech, it sounds as if she thinks there's more. The gatekeeper digs into his pocket.::

"You can get directions to where his lair is from the market. He's heavily guarded. Speak with the guards and they'll consult him before you can enter. And here."

::He hands Wynter a small orb.::

"This is your house alarm. If it glows red, it means there's an intruder in your home. You're best carrying it with you."

Wynter - April 5, 2008 12:19 AM (GMT)
::Wynter takes the orb, holding it in her hands and watching it for a few moments.::

"I thank you."

::She says simply, giving him a small smile. It's rare for her to smile, so the Gatekeeper should be happy. She looks down at the snake once more, placing the orb in her pocket and then petting the reptile once more before closing her eyes and flaming out to the Market.::

Wynter - April 6, 2008 10:46 PM (GMT)
::Wynter flames into her mansion, now in one of the bedrooms. If the Gatekeeper were still around, it was beyond her concern right now. She walks around the room, pausing every now and then as she thinks to herself various ways that she could go about this job. It would be no use to run in and get herself vanquished; she has a point to prove to the Source, and she will be Queen of the Underworld by the time all of this is over.::

(Setting your goals high, eh?)

"Wynter did not ask your opinion, Isabella."

::Wynter says aloud, referring to the female voice inside her head.::

(Hey, I'm just watching. I'd suggest that you get some materials from the market...Maybe some scrying instruments, and a couple potions.)

::Wynter nods her head, knowing that Isabella was probably correct in this advice. After a couple of seconds more of pacing, Wynter is engulfed in flames and sent to the Market once more.::

Gatekeeper - April 6, 2008 10:56 PM (GMT)
::Oops. The gatekeeper has totally left by now.::
