The lair is Buffyesque in name, and probably in nature too; I'm not sure if I ever watched enough of it to know. But the name is totally Buffy! Anyway... as modest as the glorified cave is, it's well-protected from outside entities: only members of The Four can enter here through magical teleportation: Wynter, Sufjen, Sia and Kaid. Everybody else must come in through the door, which leads in from the shambles. But it's still not as easy as that - if somebody is inside this lair, they cannot be sensed through conventional means, nor can they be scried for. Searchers have to be a lot more inventive than that. Oh yes. But it can be done. Just with difficulty.

::Sufjen strolls around the cave, wondering if he might just move here. It's nicer than his own place. He got a good deal with the gatekeeper. Who knew the guy would accept rent in innocents? Dead ones, at that. He glances around one more time, satisfied, before shimmering to the others in the back alley of BP.::

::Sufjen shimmers in with the others.::

"It's got every charm for security you could ask for. Only we can enter magically; everybody else has to use the entrance from the shambles. Better yet, if the witches scry for us, they can't find us. Not here."

::He smiles, though he's trying not to. He's a little proud.::

"It's totally safe."

"Very impressive."

::Sia just walks over to the fire and starts trying to warm herself. After a second, she turns around.::

"I'm gonna grab a shower and change of clothes. This is ridiculous."

"Do you need a lift?"

::Kaid tries not to look intrigued by the prospect of getting into Sia's lair and maybe her shower...::

::Sia turns her gaze on Kaid for a long moment.::

"No."

::She walks to the door, which looks strange in the cave setting.::

"I'll find my way."

::She heads out into the shambles.::

::Ignoring Kaid and his desperate attempts at getting laid, Wynter looks to Sufjen.::

"Will the protection still hold, even if they are under the influence of the Gods?"

::Sufjen doesn't reply for a moment, thinking. Eventually, he sighs and shakes his head.::

"I don't know. You're right that we could be in danger if that really was the Charmed One back there."

"Well, this is great. I don't remember signing up for making enemies with gods."

"Shut up, Kaid."

::Sufjen works his jaw for a while. They could be in very serious danger.::

(If the child wants revenge... there's nothing we could do to stop her. However...)

"The gods are not infallible. Let's just try to keep that in mind. And... as much as I hate to suggest it... perhaps it's worth getting Majora on our side."

"Hades himself."

::Kaid looks reflective.::

"Some things never change."

"You know, if, and it's a big if, if the spirit of the gods selected their host bodies rather than just possessing anyone... that says a hell of a lot for him."

"What if they didn't?"

"Then he's still the Lord of the Underworld for now."

"What makes you think he'll want to work with us?"

::Sufjen turns around to look at Kaid, hating him mostly passively for now.::

"He wanted to before. And we're demons. Well..."

::His gaze turns more pointed.::

"Most of us..."

::Picking up on the racism, Kaid bristles a little.::

(Bastard.)

"Why wouldn't he want us to prosper? All we have to do is play to his ego. The Greek gods were all about ego."

::Sufjen is generalising to make up for his lack of knowledge. He's made the fatal mistake of thinking that Hades is evil, when he is actually a neutral god, governing both life and death without a care as to whose lives and whose deaths.::

"Play to his ego..."

::Wynter repeats the words, a small idea formulating in her head.::

"Ego...ego...ego..."

::She adds in a sing song voice. She then tilts her head to the side, obviously going into one of her strange mindsets.::

"Adam and Eve...Boys like girls...Men like women...Gods like Goddesses..."

::Letting out a small giggle, Wynter starts to toy around with her hands, almost as if she were washing them under a sink.::

"Majora likes women...Majora likes Sia...Majora likes Wynter..."

::Kaid gives Wynter a seriously creeped out look, then turns to Sufjen.::

"What the heck is she doing?"

"Wynter."

::Sufjen stares at the demon, also confused. Thus far, they'd only seen little hints at her psychotic tendencies and hadn't really put much thought to them. This is a little hard to ignore, though.::

::Continuing to ring her hands, Wynter looks up at Sufjen and Kaid with a crooked grin.::

"We won't play with his ego...We know that part of the host still remains tact...Otherwise Zeus would have no reason to try and bring back Paige."

::She lets out another brash fit of giggles.::

"We go for something much...bigger than his ego."

(Zeus can't bring back Paige... nobody can.)

::Sufjen keeps this argumentative thought to himself, still giving Wynter that weird look.::

"What is wrong with you?"

::And to this, Wynter can only let out another stream of giggles.::

::Sufjen actually backs away.::

::Wynter laughs again, that same crude and almost frightening sound ringing out through the lair.::

"What's the matter, Sufjen? Scared of little old Wynter?"

::Cue another creepy giggle.::

"Oh that's right, you weren't there for the autobiography, were you? Tsk, tsk, it's quite the tale. Such a shame you missed it."

::This personality is more dominant and crude. She stops playing with her hands, letting them fall limply by her sides for a couple of seconds before tucking her fingers through her belt loops.::

"Oooh, does it feel good to be back in the reins!"

::She walks forward a bit, shortening the distance between herself and Sufjen that he created only seconds ago.::

"Now, where were we? Oh yes. Majora. Hades. Whatever the hell he is calling himself these days..."

"Great. Now you decide to show you're insane."

::Wynter scoffs.::

"And who are you to pass judgment on who is sane or not? I seem to recall someone shattering a poor and defenseless woman's hand. Anger issues, much?"

::Without even giving him time to answer, Wynter walks over to Kaid with her chest somewhat pushed out.::

"Poor kid. You never get enough attention."

::Almost as if she has absolutely no stop sign, Wynter speaks everything that goes through her head. Shrugging, she turns away from Kaid and brings her attention back to Sufjen.::

"Let's get Sia, and let's get moving. Staying in one place for to long doesn't sound like such a good idea to me."

"Hang on."

::Kaid is all about the protesting.::

"I don't want to be taking any kind of suggestion, let alone instruction, from a psycho."

::Sufjen keeps quiet, then speaks in a low voice.::

"Wynter, your conduct is troubling."

"Oh, come on guys. Lighten up!"

::She rolls her eyes, turning away from them and walking towards the entrance of the lair.::

"It's not like you had any disagreements when we all first met, and that was the weakest out of the bunch!"

::Turning to face them again with a playful smirk, she continues.::

"Besides, it's not like you can just up and leave. You realize that there is probably a bounty on all four of us? Trying to go at it alone would be suicide. Sticking together is the best we can do. Hey, maybe even gathering more forces. But that can be discussed later. Right now, we need to get a plan in motion."

::Sufjen is quiet again, for a moment.::

"Fine. I think we should split; some of us go to Majora, the others to The Source. We might have to cut our plans for presenting him with multiple deaths; but I imagine he'll be pleased with Paige, if he doesn't already know."

::Wynter is surprised, and a little angered at this. Just who is Sufjen think he is to suggest splitting up? This isn't his little show. However, Wynter knows that Sufjen and Kaid are both already wary of the newest development, so she knows that it's best to keep her mouth shut. But who to pick?::

(Kaid is out, of course...Sia would be best to leverage with Majora...And I've already dealt with the Source...)

::She looks to Kaid.::

"Go to Sia, and find Majora. Bargain with him, do whatever it takes. Sufjen, you and I will go to the Source."

"Very well."

(A wise move sending the breeds he most values.)

"Let's go."

::Sufjen gives Kaid a look of warning not to screw up as he approaches Wynter, then takes her arm so they shimmer together to The Source's lair.::

::Except Kaid doesn't do as he's told. He remains where he is, pacing back and forth and getting himself into more of a panic. This is what he gets for agreeing to go along with a madwoman! If only he'd known, he'd never be in this mess. Why did he agree to this? Did he agree to this? And besides all that, how is he going to get out of it? Kaid's number one goal here is self-preservation. Screw the others; if they want to take on the gods, then leave them to it. Kaid would rather keep his life. He steps to the fire and thinks about Sufjen and Wynter, now facing The Source. What will he say? Will he be pleased? Angry? Will he blame them for this mess? Will he kill them? The warlock wrings his hands and stares into the bright flames. He hopes that maybe they just won't return. That'd be easier for everyone. As for him, well, he can find somewhere to hide out until all of this blows over.::

(It was fun while it lasted, but I'm in way over my head.)

::Sufjen shimmers in and strides towards the lowly warlock.::

"Kaid. What're you doing still here?"

::Kaid turns around with surprise, not having expected anybody to return so soon.::

"Where's Psycho?"

"She's with The Source."

::Sufjen stares at the warlock, narrowing his eyes.::

"Why aren't you speaking to Majora?"

"I'm waiting for Sia to get back."

::Kaid straightens up to full height, getting angry. Sufjen is annoying him a lot just now; he seems continually suspicious of him and, though he's perhaps right to be so, it's getting to Kaid more than a little. He's quite certain they don't respect him even half as much as they do each other. These are all the little things that have been turning over in the warlock's mind since he's been alone.::

::Sufjen accepts this excuse and flexes his fingers, holding one hand with the other and examining the palm for a few moments.::

"The Source has requested you locate Ares and form an allegiance with him."
