::Basil walks into the two-bedroomed flat and waits for Raphael.::

::Raphael enters, pauses and takes a quick glance around.

(Looks fine, from what I can see. Plenty of time to check out the place later.)

::He gives Basil a quick nod, smiling.::

"Seems okay. Can we take care of the paperwork later? Would that work for you?"

::Leroy is standing on the other side of Raphael's door. He hesitates for a while before knocking and waiting patiently.::

"Hello, anybody home?"

::Basil looks to the still open door.::

"Why hello there."

::He smiles then looks at Raphael.::

"Yes, we can sort all of that later. I best be off, I'll leave you two to get aquainted."

::And with that, he leaves.::

(Boy, that was close. I hope he didn't catch the guilt written on my face.)

::Leroy watches Basil go, smiling sheepishly.::

(Of course, it's not like it was my fault the shower broke. It could have been the former tenant or something...)

::After much hesitation he turns to Raphael.::

"Hey, dude. I don't mean to barge in so early but I was wondering if I could borrow a wrench. My plumbing decided to get back at me for gripping too tightly."

::He chuckles lamely and scratches the back of his head.::

::Raphael stares at Leroy for a moment, then gives him a brief smile.::

"You could, yeah, if I knew where one was. I just pretty much got here, so I'm still a bit ... um, disoriented."

::He shrugs, then gestures at the open door, indicating Basil.::

"You should have asked him. I'm sure he would've had one."

"Ha!"

::A nervous laugh escapes his lips at the mere thought and suddenly Leroy wonders if Basil heard.::

"Yeah, that's the thing, I can't ask him. I just got my apartment last night and I went on and on, worrying about rats and roaches and look at this...I broke the shower! I promised to be real quiet, to not screw up and....oh forget it."

::Leroy shakes his head and cuts himself short. He glances up again, giving Raphael an apologetic look.::

"Sorry about that, I didn't mean to ramble on. I'm Leroy, by the way."

"Not a problem."

::Raphael extends a hand and shakes Leroy's.::

"Nice meeting you, Leroy. Name's Raphael."

::Leroy shakes his too and nods, suggesting that the feeling's mutual.::

"So what brings you to San Francisco?"

::Raphael shrugs.::

"A change of scenery ... I guess."

::Pauses, then gestures toward his apartment.::

"Do you ... wanna come in?"

(Might as well. Nothing better to do.)

"Sure, why not."

::Leroy shrugs and walks in, taking a good look around. He keeps his hands in his jacket pockets just to be safe.::

(Don't wanna break his stuff like I did mine)

::The thought makes him tense up.::

(Good thing the place is furnished.)

::Raphael shuts the door and follows Leroy inside.::

"Well, if worse comes to worse, you could use mine ... my shower, I mean. Just don't break it."

"Oh...uh...thanks."

::Leroy stares at his feet and mentally kicks himself for being so lame at times. He chuckles at Raphael's last words.::

"Don't worry, I'll go easy on your shower."

"Okay."

::Raphael watches as Leroy stares at his feet.::

"So ... did you need to use it now?"

(Great, now he's watching me make a fool of myself)

"I-If it's alright with you. I mean, I just came to borrow a wrench, but I'd really appreciate the shower."

::He finally manages to stand still, regaining composure.::

(I don't even know the guy and already he gets to use my shower before me. Wish it was a girl ... )

::Raphael gestures widely.::

"Go for it."

"Thanks."

::Leroy goes into the bathroom and shuts the door behind him.::

(I didn't see a change of clothing. Hmm ... )

::Raphael frowns.::

"That's weird."

::Finally alone, Leroy peels off his jacket and realizes that he should have left it outside. Rolling his eyes, he blames it on the nervousness and proceeds to remove the rest of his clothing. First his shirt, then his pants, then his boxers. Until there's nothing left::

(Hmm, I wonder if he thinks I'm weird. Damn. I hope not.)

::Naked and ready for the long-awaited shower, he looks in the mirror and raises an eyebrow.::

"I'm not weird."

::Raphael waits patiently outside, wondering what to do in the meantime.

(Might as well have a look around.)

::He slowly checks out his surroundings, making sure to stay within hearing range of the bathroom, just in case.::

::After some time, Raphael looks in the direction of the bathroom.::

(Wonder if he really is taking a shower.)

::Convinced that there's nothing weird about his appearance or demeanor, Leroy steps into the shower and turns the tap. Water begins to sprinkle on his willing skin. At last::

(Ahhh, water....I've waited forever)

::Once he's done he gets out to dry and realizes that he has no towel. He pokes his head out the bathroom door looking for Raphael.::

"Um, dude...can I borrow a towel?"

(Oh, brother.)

"If I can find one! Hang on!"

::Raphael looks around, sees a door that could be the linen closet. He opens it and breathes a sigh of relief, seeing the linen all neatly stacked.::

(Wow, this place rocks! Fully furnished, indeed!)

::He pulls a towel off one of the piles, then makes his way toward the partially open bathroom door and hands the towel over to Leroy.::

"Here you go."

"Thanks!"

::Leroy takes the towel and closes the door again. He pats himself dry, puts his clothes back on and walks out smiling at Raphael.::

"Man, I almost forgot what it was like. And check it out, I made it in and made it out without breaking anything."

::He lets out an exaggerated sigh, pretending to wipe sweat off his forehead.::

"Phew!"

"That's great."

::Raphael chuckles, then pauses, inclining his head, looking at Leroy.::

"I was wondering ... maybe you might know of a place I could get, like, something to eat around here? Any place close by should be good."

"Yes, I actually do."

::Leroy nods.::

"I remember passing by a place called Juneau last night during my hardware store hunt. Come on, I'll take you there."

::Raphael smiles gratefully and nods.::

"I'm right behind you."

"Cool."

::Leroy takes the lead and walks out to the Hallway.::
