Title: New Locations

The Powers That Be - December 5, 2003 11:51 AM (GMT)
If you think we're missing a location that would really add something to The World, then don't hesitate to post any suggestions in here. This can be for threads, or, if you think they could use the space, forums which would accomodate several threads of the same theme (like Quake or P3).

Link. - December 14, 2003 11:00 AM (GMT)
Can you put a garden in the manor? Last time I checked the show, there were a garden.

Kellan - December 14, 2003 09:17 PM (GMT)
Speaking of the manor..it's going to be quite difficult for the Charmed Ones to do much without the Attic isn't it? Just a little FYI.

Blaze - December 14, 2003 09:21 PM (GMT)
How the **** could you forget the attic?

kaytee83 - December 14, 2003 09:24 PM (GMT)
 Heh... um... well. You see, there was this thing, with the... um... well...

*kaytee83 runs off to create thread pronto.

Prieto - December 14, 2003 09:36 PM (GMT)
Ooooh. This thing. I get it *dosnt*
Well, I dont know if its changed, but wasnt there a Bathroom in P3? or will the guests pee in the back alley? *chough* Just a thought.

What on Earth are you talking about? Heh... that thread's been there for ages... *coughs*.

The bathroom is in P3, but the thread is called "Restrooms". It's essentially the same thing.

Blaze - December 14, 2003 09:41 PM (GMT)
That's a first. Never saw a manor Coughing before... I wonder how it affects the people inside...

kaytee83 - December 14, 2003 09:43 PM (GMT)
I think they all die of asphyxiation. Shame really.

Lol. If you find any more threads have been stupidly forgotten (that one was my fault), report them here as fast as possible. And Blaze, your support has been priceless throughout. "How the f*** could you forget the attic?" indeed.

Freakin' lol.

Blaze - December 14, 2003 09:50 PM (GMT)
Why thank you, what would you do without me?

Sorry, I just found it hilarious that you remembered the solarium, yet the freakin' attic was left out...

Link. - December 15, 2003 01:54 PM (GMT)
You forgot the hallway at the manor. It was there at the old ACW.

Link. - December 15, 2003 09:36 PM (GMT)
Can we get a shrink in the world? I need guideans.

No, you can't. The Voice is willing to give the members guidance. Even you. Maybe.

Justin - December 16, 2003 11:20 PM (GMT)
You know...after reading the crap get kicked out of Luke..maybe, oh I don't know..a HOSPITAL thread would be a good idea?

kaytee83 - December 17, 2003 01:46 AM (GMT)
You know, after also reading the crap get kicked out of Luke, I thought about the hospital thread. And decided against it again. So ha.

:P

Ouch.

[Nevermind.]

Marc - December 19, 2003 07:28 PM (GMT)
Not that I'm not well being beyond enjoying being stalked by that Panther, and now other odd magical people in the Forest, but could you possibly consider another, safer Out and About place to be?

The first thing that came to my mind was a 'Golden Gate Park' forum. Hell, I don't know. You may enjoy the danger so much that you might not even care that I said anything.

What am I saying? Oh course that's what you think. Meh, I tried.

Link. - December 19, 2003 10:03 PM (GMT)
In outdoor locations. Can you post when it's night, and when it's day?

Vince - December 20, 2003 12:04 AM (GMT)
Well personally I don't see the Golden Gate Park being any safer/whatever than the current wide open spaces we have. Demons will still attack, warlocks will still mess you around and Panthers will still attack you. After all, woods and fields are still woods and fields. The Golden Gate Park is just one stocked with more juicy humans. However it might be nice to have a more... civillised outdoors-y place, with benches and the like.

Link, I suppose you could if we stuck a timezone and went with the that throughout the board. Say, GMT, in which case at the moment you would type its night as its 12am, even though it may be 10am and the day where you currently are. It needs fine tuning whatever it is, so I'd veer away from day/night descriptions for the moment.

kaytee83 - December 20, 2003 12:09 AM (GMT)
I'd go by whether P3 is open or not. Generally, if P3 is open, then it's night. But if it's closed, then it's day. You know? Just a little something like that, or maybe the magic shop opening hours. One full day in the world lasts about a week in our time, though, because posting and shiz makes it take a lot longer.

Paz - December 21, 2003 01:57 AM (GMT)
I noticed that we had a magic shop, but not a general shop...for bandages and food and all that jazz. Think we should have one? Or would it just be totally pointless and generate lotsa spam, plus kinda distract from the magical storyline.

I thought it was a good idea, but I kinda just answered my own question! Oh well then!

kaytee83 - December 21, 2003 02:23 PM (GMT)
Yeah, you pretty much did that. I think with the general shop thing is that, it's a bit of a waste of time. A store is pretty unnecessary. I mean, having characters going food shopping is kinda boring, if you'll agree, because what demon's stupid enough to attack in the middle of Sainsbury's ya know?

Well. One or one around here might...

We'll still put it into consideration though, just to make you feel nice :)

Link. - December 23, 2003 10:49 PM (GMT)
I vote for a park, yo!

Prieto - December 23, 2003 10:57 PM (GMT)
I agree with Link...
Well...it has its positive and negative sites, so I'll post 'em

Positive: A park is an ideal place to meet nice, decent, normal people...or demons, warlocks, and witches. You can also get there to realx, and go away from...other places.

Negative: No interesting story....or is there? I dont know...but the posts would be more like talking posts. Just a "Hi -talk talk- Bye" place.

[off topic]This is what happens when an ill girl posts[/off topic]

kaytee83 - December 24, 2003 06:26 PM (GMT)
What do other members say about having a park?

Chloe - December 24, 2003 06:36 PM (GMT)
It could have multiple threads and stuff. Would be cool, it would.

kaytee83 - December 24, 2003 07:34 PM (GMT)
Hm, I don't know about multiple threads. What would it be, the Golden Gate park? Let's see, bench, lake, fountain, wood, entrance, hut... I don't know.

Link. - December 24, 2003 08:18 PM (GMT)
And a little hill.

Marc - December 24, 2003 09:28 PM (GMT)
Well, I'm all for it. Of course, I introduced the idea a couple a posts ago and it was pretty much ignored then, so...of course I'm for. Wow, this is a great place to contradict yourself I'm noticing.

Chloe - December 24, 2003 09:34 PM (GMT)
Relax Marc. I don't remember you saying that. There must have been quite a few posts after yours before I visited this thread. The same could go for others. Don't get your knickers in a bunch. :P

KT, I was thinking more along the lines of under the bridge and field.... I dunno. It sounds stupid now. *slinks away*

Link. - December 26, 2003 01:12 PM (GMT)
Can there be a goblin under the bridge?

Paz - December 26, 2003 05:34 PM (GMT)
I like the park idea, it would be fun, as long as it was more open and less of a dark place to go to practice your powers and kill people!

How about a public toilet for cottaging? lmao! Kidding, don't worry!

Sam - December 26, 2003 07:00 PM (GMT)
I like the idea of a park as well. And much like Link I'm outraged at the small number of goblins here in the World. (That was a joke people, please don't send letters...)

Let's see...there should be like a picnic area...maybe a feild, a playground for the more simple minded members, a lake, some kinda inside place like a hut, and something dangerous that no one would guess would be dangerous...a boat house?

That sounds pretty cool.

Link. - December 27, 2003 01:50 AM (GMT)
Could there be a park ranger

Chloe - December 27, 2003 03:02 AM (GMT)
Yeah, I was going to say how fun it would be to have a swing set but... heh. I was just too embarressed to say so.

Sam's got some good ideas there...

Windy - December 27, 2003 03:22 AM (GMT)
I hope this haven't been mentioned before... but I was thinking of a Library or something. Then a Librarian too.

I was just err... thinking.

kaytee83 - December 27, 2003 12:42 PM (GMT)
Prieto talked about a Library for the last ACW.

I just don't see it being that great. I mean, if you want to do magical research, go to the magic shop. What else would you want to read in ACW?

I'll get to work on the park.

Windy - December 28, 2003 07:28 AM (GMT)
*L* Opps, haven't thought of that :P

Thanks KT.

Ooo!! How about a church for those who are religious? I haven't seen anyone who's religious here anywayz, but.... *shrugs*

Just being me. The silly 'ld self.

The Source - December 28, 2003 07:34 PM (GMT)
*The Source flames in.

There is a Church in the Cemetary. Old an abandoned mind. And possibly EVIL. Mwa ha ha ha!

...

*The Source flames out.

Sam - December 29, 2003 05:25 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the compliment, Chloe, and I can't wait to see the park, KT.

As for the church, I myself am a very religous Christian, but I'm going to have to go against the idea of a church...besides that great one in the cemetary you wouldn't find me dead in (or maybe you would....), bacuse of the fact that our characters themselves could be many denominatins and it might be considered discrimination to only have one here in the world, and I can't see many of the evil characters actually going there...religous or not. Ya know, since they can't be saved or anything, they already burn in eternal flames, and when they die their souls get eaten by a horrible monster.

But anyway, that's my opinon on the subject.
