Dear Journal:

So, interesting day. Although I'm not sure if interesting is the right word for it. First I drop out of the sky onto my ass, not to mention tripping over cords and getting laughed at my new spiritual helper person (yeah, I mean Erin), then I discover I have powers. Yup... real, magical powers! Cool, right?

Erm... not always.

I wake up from my little nap, only to completely FREAK when I couldn't see myself in front of a mirror. I'd totally forgotten I could be invisible.

Is it normal for the power to randomly kick in like that? How do I go about controlling it so stuff like this doesn't happen anymore?

Oh yeah, I got an apartment! That's exciting. Only, the landlord's a pretty creepy looking guy. I'm quite sure he was...um...slobbering when I was talking to him. Ewww. *shudders*

While out grabbing a bite to eat today, I passed by the most interesting cemetery. For some reason, it called to me. Not physically, of course, or else I'd be extremely weirded out. But it completely drew me in.

There was no one around at the time, so I took a little stroll through the grounds. I'll have to go back there later, some time, to further explore the area. It truly intrigues me, and I have to return to find out exactly why.

But for now, I'll be pleasantly puzzled....

Ok, NOW I know why I felt so drawn to that cemetary! Everything really does seem to happen for a reason.

After trudging through the forest, I found myself in a swampy area. Going a little further, I came upon a quaint little cabin in the middle of all the muck. To get out of the mud, I ran inside without thinking. I didn't suppose anyone would be living there or anything.

I ALMOST GET KILLED BY THESE TWO CREEPY CREATURES! One looked like some sort of pixie, the one wore these green Elvish stockings and carried a large sword. With this sword, he almost decapitated me!

Luckily, my new acquintance, Shadow, was able to pull me out of there just in time. So despite my life almost being in jeopardy, I might've found myself a new friend in this crazy place. But that remains to be seen. And I want to know exactly why those two tried to off me.

There's something about Shadow too. She sprinkled some sort of dust at them in the attempt to confuse them. She's not exactly a "normal" girl either, in any sense of the word. Is it possible she's a witch as well?

My days here are just getting better and better...

If being killed was not bad enough, when I returned to scout out the area (not the swamp cabin again, but a place in the cemetary), I came upon this large building. A church of some kind, by the looks of it. So I decided to go in and check it out.

I almost wish I hadn't!

It was here that I first truly used my powers in a fight. There were these 3 really rude people in there. Then came a rat who could talk and turn into human form. Then came a zombie!

Maybe I'm just still not used to all this having powers thing, but if somebody could advise me, I might not have to worry as much in the future. I miss Erin. She said I could go to her for help, but WHERE IS HELP?

Well, in addition to Shadow, I've now met Kaden and Isobel. Isobel's a quiet girl, but seems nice enough. I'd probably have more of a chance making friends with Kaden though. At least he's open to conversation.

Let's see...

Coming home and taking a relaxing bath was nice. What was not nice was the fact that I wake up to find a creepy man dressed like a priest in my apartment! Don't even ask me how he got in.

He claims to want to "save" me. I guess that's his job, right? But he clearly knows all about witches and the supernatural. I tried to get away from him by turning invisible, but he whips out talcum powder! How random.

At least I met new people. Julie, Patience, and Petunius might be helpful to know. Who can guess what wacky stuff happens next around here.
