Title: Daylight Savings
kaytee83 - March 27, 2005 12:04 AM (GMT)
Okay folks, in the UK daylight savings is coming into effect now. The clocks are moving forward one hour, I am unsure if this is happening elsewhere. Last year I think the US changed a couple of weeks after us. Anyway.
Go to this page and click on "Is daylight savings in effect?". The time on the board will change for you, so it displays the correct time.

The United States moves forward one hour the first Sunday of April (April 3, 2005) at 2:00 AM in their specific time zone.

That's in a week then. Same as last year actually, it was probably only the one week, felt like longer cos Mari was 6 hours behind and it sucked.
Okay this'll get a bump then, if I remember. Thanks Luke.

It's also my birthday and that is a heck of a gift to get!
Sameth - March 27, 2005 07:48 AM (GMT)
This morning at 3am around or so. Australia moved their clocks one hour back due to Daylight Saving. So I got one hour extra worth of sleep, not that I actualy slept anyway...
kaytee83 - March 27, 2005 12:25 PM (GMT)
Crazy. Okay Northern Hemisphere... forward, Southern, back.
 wih eh. Everybody just fiddle with your settings until they're right.
Luke - April 3, 2005 03:31 AM (GMT)
Spring forward, Americans. At 2:00 AM (in your own time zone), that is. Unless, of course, before you go to bed if you happen to fall asleep before then.
Adrianne - April 3, 2005 05:07 AM (GMT)
I've learned that Arizona, where I live, voted to not have Daylight Savings Time.

Hey! <_< Lol. :D
Yeah...I know. I actually wanted it, because our clocks would be going back one hour...I think. Which meant, if I'm right, I got to sleep longer.
Luke - April 3, 2005 01:41 PM (GMT)
Yeah. Some parts of the United States don't observe it and it's usually places where they are on the border of two time zones.
kaytee83 - October 30, 2005 09:05 AM (GMT)
It's that time of year again! Back go the clocks! Back I say! Use
this page to turn off daylight savings. Or on. I can't remember. Off, I think, cos we're using GMT again instead of the blasted BST (which I believe stands for Bastarding Stupid Time). That makes the UK only four hours ahead of EST. You yanks are catching up!
If someone can post when the change is in their countries, it'd be grand.
The good news? The NPC accounts are now all displaying the correct time. That'll take some getting used to!
This is the first time I've ever woken naturally at half eight in the morning, I could swear...

Actually, am I right in thinking it's everywhere this has happened? Because I'm now under the impression it is. And you all know how much I like to be under impressions.
Yes, that made sense.
Lirie - October 30, 2005 11:39 AM (GMT)
We changed our time ages ago.
Brennan - October 30, 2005 12:35 PM (GMT)
America changes today, too.
Valerie - October 30, 2005 12:43 PM (GMT)
Paige - March 26, 2006 07:21 PM (GMT)
One year later, off we go again!
Another week for the Americans?
Paz - March 27, 2006 01:11 PM (GMT)
Erth - March 29, 2006 12:57 PM (GMT)
We already changed ours, in Australia.
Wesley - March 9, 2007 10:20 PM (GMT)
Everyone in the US needs to move their clocks ahead one hour this Sunday.
Sharon - March 10, 2007 02:07 AM (GMT)
Is that happening in the UK soon too? *hopes not*
kaytee83 - March 10, 2007 10:34 AM (GMT)
Didn't we change our clocks a little while ago? We're always before the US. Wait. There's one time we're the same, and one time we're a few weeks ahead.
Petunius - March 10, 2007 10:47 AM (GMT)
I think the US is a little early this year for some reason. We don't change until the last Sunday of March.
