Books, books, bookity books.

::Moira enters and starts browsing through the shelves.::

(I love bookshops.)

::After a while, Moira takes a couple of books to the counter and pays for them. She then leaves the mall, heading in the direction of the forest.::

:: Sameth comes into the bookstore after wandering around for awhile. He heads over to see the new releases. ::

(... Books... Books.)

:: He selects a random fantasy novel, which so happens to be Garth Nix's Drowned Wednesday. Paying for the book, Sameth heads out and off to somewhere else. ::

::Luke walks in, buys a several of those Self-Help books and leaves, finally heading to his intended destination: Gro Cer Ees.::

::Jonathon appears behind a shelf, out of the way of anyone who may be in the shop. Jonathon presses his back agains the shelf and peers out, he sees no-one else in the shop so he steps out, he searches the shelves for some books, he finds some horror novels, which happen to be Mary Shelley's 'Frankenstein', Bram Stoker's 'Dracula' and Gaston Leroux's 'The Phantom of the Opera'. He takes the books to the counter and pays for them. Jonathon picks up his books, and heads outside the shop and checks for people, he blinks out to Jon and Arika's penthouse.::

::Carys walks in, then walks back out again, going back to electrorama.::

::Another guard speaks into his walkie talkie.::

"She just came in and left again. Headed to Electrorama."

:: Wavs comes inside, and takes a loooong time looking at the shelves. Finally, she grabs several titles ("Deception Point" by Dan Brown, some Stephen King, some Agatha Christie, and the latest Potter book. Yeah, the girl is weird, she loves Potterfiction). Waverly pays, and then leaves to the electorrama::

::Val enters the little shop and gets at least.. lets say 20 books from the various shelves, and pays for them getting the bags and going to Electrorama not finished her spening spree yet.::

::Stacie is here, and looks around for a while. After picking up and putting down a million books, she finally settles on an interesting looking biography. She pays for it, and heads back to CW Apartments.::

::Luke walks into the store, reads through a few books and heads to Buckland Auction House.::

::He walks in and starts browsing the shelves. Mainly the horror and crime sections, looking for a decent book to read::

(Maybe if I wasn't so fussy with my books, I could find a decent one to read...)

::Upon entering the book shop, Erth heads straight to the section where all the... textbooks are kept. Kidding. Walking past the textbooks, Erth hovers around the comic section, browsing the titles.::

(Maybe I should get myself a city guide or something. Would be easier to get around and stuff. Ah, I'll do that later.)

::Selecting a manga off the shelf, he takes a look through it. With coffee running through his sytem, Erth's scans the manga without any paying it much attention.::

::After selecting a Stephen King book, he heads towards the till to pay when Erth catches his eye::

(He looks nice...)

::So, off he goes to introduce himself::

"Hey, I haven't seen you around before... But then again, I quite new here so I don't know many people... Hi, I'm Nick!"

(Wow... Is it just me or is the people of San Francisco suppose to be this open and friendly?)

::He gives Nick a smile, but underneath, he wants to know why on earth would a man suddenly introduce himself to a stranger. But none the less, Erth takes a little precaution.::

(San Frany people. Bleh. And he's new here? He's not much of a city slicker is he?)

::With a moment to think, a name comes to mind.::

"Hi Nick, I'm Saraneth."

::He rolls his eyes with a slight chuckle.::

"Don't ask, I have no idea what mom was thinking when she named me."

::The name had just sounded nice. It was from a book he read from somewhen back.::

"You're new here? I've just arrived into San Francisco today. I'm planning to see if I can make my stay in the city longer then a few weeks. Maybe even live here."

(Heh, where else could you go? New Mexico?)

::The man doesn't look like the bad sort who hangs around pubs. But come on, the man's in a bookshop, he can't be bad.::

(Saraneth... Either his mum was a right bitch or that's a complete fake name...)

"A few weeks? Do you travel around much then?"

::He looks around the bookshop at all the books and realises that he's in the comic area::

(Comic books? How old are you, 5?)

"You can say that."

::Erth tucks his hands into his jeans pockets.::

"You like Stephen King? Which one's that?"

::He asks, pointing at the book in Nick's hands. From his point of view, Erth was only able to have a slight glimpse of the author. Being a reader of Stephen King's books, Erth wonders if Nick is interested in the author too.::

"'The Shining'"

::He grins::

"One of my favourites. Do you read King?"

"The Shining, one of his best books I reckon. And yes, it's one of my favourites too."

::Erth grins and nods.::

"Yeah, I sure do. I have read many of his books. He's one of my favourite authors, and one of the best out there."

"He is a great author"

(I'm seriuosly talking to someone I don't know about books? Just pay and go already!)

"Hey, I've gotta meet someone in a min, but I'll be around. I'll see if I can catch you at some point..."

(Good boy)

::He pays for his things and leaves to the mall::

(He's gone!)

::Not knowing if he should feel glad that the stranger called Nick is gone or feel disappointed about Nick leaving when they've just started talking about Stephen King.::

(He'll be around. This city is like, huge.)

::After looking around a bit more, he buys a Guide book and then heads back to the main mall area.::

::Tobey walks in and takes a couple of sips from his cup as he looks around. Books, books and oh, more books.::

(Lovely place.)

::He finishes his drink and places the cup in a bookshelf, in front of a book. He sees a meditation book and decides to pick it up. After flipping through a couple of pages, he goes to the counter to pay for it.::

(Yawn.)

::Tobey picks up the shopping bag then leaves.::

::Luke enters the shop and looks for the psychology section. After a couple of minutes, the workaholic finds it and scans through the titles of the books. Which one is more appropriate his situation? Luke shrugs and takes out a few books, not bothering to read through them particularly; he just gets books that appear to be scholarly and such, figuring that if he's going to pretend to be a psychiatrist, he may as well have some books related to the field. Luke brings the book to the check-out counter, where the cashier rings in the total. He pays for the books in cash and heads to Gro Cer Ees, remembering that he needed to go food shopping, anyway.::

:: Layla enters the book shop and takes a moment to get herself together. After a while she looks around the store and smiles as she remembers an episode of Black Books ::

( "I'm a quitter. I come from a long line of quitters. It's amazing I'm here at all." )

:: she chuckles softly and starts walking around the book store, trying to find some mildly interesting things to read ::

(Maybe I can practice my power at the Jane Austen section..)

"Man, Jane Austen is great in satire."

::Says a casual, bystanding Austen fan!::

:: Layla jumps in slight shock and turns towards the man ::

"Oh. You gave me quite a fright there. I - uh - didn't notice you."

(Aww, you're talking to strangers after some lady has just told you that you will eventually barbeque people. How wise.)

:: She smiles wryly to herself and turns towards some random bookshelf ::

"But I must say, I haven't met many men who enjoy Austen."

"I don't suppose you have."

::The man wanders off, evidently not as polite as the gentle folk of Ms. Jane.::

(Right. Just wander off you limey little coc-)

:: Layla feels her anger rising steadily and takes a breath. When this doesn't help she tries a different approach ::

(1... 2 ... 3...plus 4, that's 10. That little impolite bastard!)

:: She takes a random book down from an even more random shelf, to find something else to occupy her. When said book catches on fire she screams in shock and drops it on the floor ::

"Oh - no. The books are covered in some kind of self-flameable chemicals. It's a big conspiracy. We should all be scared and run now!"

:: With that, she flees to the Cot and Sod to calm her nerves ::

"..."

::A guard quickly runs over and beats out the fire with his foot in that manly way that guards have.::

"It's alright, folks, it's under control!"

::He holds up his hands and then ducks down to pick up the book which he hands to a store clerk, restoring the shop to normal.::
