I love how he complains about how the staff doesn't respond to characters, considering that others had to wait for his characters for ages to respond, especially when he was Valterra.

Geebees, ACW has been like my little Charmed RPG home for ages, even before AEW. His site didn't come into existence so recently and by gosh loyalty is not soemthing that I go: "Ooo, that's nice. I'm your loyal fan.". It takes time to develope a bond with the site that you like. A place you like to go very often. I check on his site everytime I check on ACW cause I have all the ones I go to opened in my browser.

How little my loyalty, I didn't like what he said, it hurts because I do like his site. Not because it doesn't have auditions or what not it's because the atmosphere there is carefree as well. It makes me welcomed. But that doesn't mean loyalty grow on trees that easily.

Heh, he says that. But well, aren't we all children at heart all wanting to play nice together? I'll admit that sometimes the NPCs can be a real bitch at time but they, they're only... human... No they're not but you know what I mean.

I personally didn't like the joke KT, it had offended me because I was mad. I still hate you for that KT, but hey, it'll pass in time. After a full move of the 365 days from that fateful April Fools. :P It was mean of you to do that. But that's cause I fell for it though. But falling for it meant getting hurt more when the truth was revealed.

ACW Love or Hate?

Ho can you ask this question? LOVE, of course! This place have become my online home and I seriously consider members here as my friends. The atmosphere around this board is something you could scarcely find elsewhere.

At first I thought that I just love RPGing in general, but after visiting numerous other boards, I've discovered that... THEY ALL SUCK! I mean, the RPing skills are lame in the best of cases, the rules are shallow and often not forced (like spamming inside the actual World) and just...

Gah! I tried this board once, thinking that if they have like thousands of users, it would be cooler. Boy, how I was wrong :rolleyes:

I love the fact that most of the users are known to each other and we keep this group close, with emphasize on solidarity and high standards, not only regarding the RPing skills, but also regarding the users' quality as human beings.

The latter is probably the reason why a certain Maggot, who called certain Puddles, certain Switzerlands, did not survive for long here.

I love ACW. Its my homepage on the net. The RPG skills here are awsome. I tried some sites that have like 1,000 users and the RPGing skills with some there suck! The Auditioning part here is good because you know if you are ACW material or not.

Why does it have to be one against the other?! Yea, it was wrong of Justin to post a 'wow, acw is mean' thread on his board (EDIT: He didn't - one post, not a whole thread). And it's wrong to do it here in retaliation. Or even in retaliation to the conversation you two had. Especially cause you didn't post the whole thing.

Then you have ppl like Sam come about and throw quotes in out of context. Look, if you wanted a warm, feel-good, i-want-a-compliment thread, you could've just said "why does ACW rule?" People would've said the same fuzzy things.

Hmm, well, I've talked about it with some other people over msn and the whole 'you're treated like a n00b' thing is bullshit. I'm a n00b and no one treats me without respect or whatever. You reap what you sow. Act like an idiot n00b and then get treated as one.

Persoanlly, I think the ACW closing April fools was one of the best April fools jokes I've ever come across. It really was sheer genious since so many of us believed it.

People like different boards for different reasons. I love ACW, I've been with it since it began.

In response to all the hoo ha about character death. It's part of the game. Some characters get killed. Some don't. If Moony was killed off, yes, I would be sad since I created when ACW first came about, but you move on and come up with another one. We allow you to come up with another character when that happens.

Yes. Sometimes we don't reply as NPCs that quickly but that's because the staff do have lives as well, but we always try our best. And it could also be because most of the staff live in the UK. All I can say is patience is a virtue, well all have to take it on board when waiting for someone to respond.

And if we treated our members like utter shit then why do we still have people joining, hm?

If some of you like Justin's board better, fair enough. That's your decision.

It is not that I hate ACW because I don't. And YES Dante there is a discrimination against New RPers. It is not that they are just new to the board but some of them (like me) are new to RPing in general.

This is the first board that I started on, and well I know that there is a bunch of room for improvement on my half. Maybe just Maybe I thought that the people on here would not make fun of a person but help them improve. That is all that I am asking.

Now I have joined other boards who have sat back, and said hey maybe you should work on these skills. There is only two boards that I have seen that is in this little circle of RPing that have token in newer people, and helped them or made them apart of there little family.

Yes there has been a few times that I have bitched about the site only because the people that have been here for a while, think that there shit does not stink. I myself have not been bitched at yet, but there has been others who have been.

I think that this site is set up nicely, and it has a lot of interaction. But (and I know I am repeating myself here) you need to give new RPers a chance. If they need to improve on something maybe you should PM them and tell them what they need to improve and help them improve it.

My life is PMing people here telling them how to improve. You're actually doing just fine, Lilith. Juuuuust fine.

New users are treated differently. You know why? CAUSE THEY'RE NEW! ( <= and this is not me screaming, this is me emphasizing passionately). And why are they treated different, even hostilier (yes, 'tis a word) sometimes? Because of the 'close-group-solidarity' thing I've mentioned in my previous post.

Since the board is mostly consisted of people who like each other, it would impossible (let me repeat that - impossible) for new members to join this closed group and be immediately accepted with lubbing and peanutbutter cookies!

Where's Dante, my favorite n00b after Frosya, who's not really a n00b? *looks around* I totally agree with him! If you join the board, knowing that we are a close group and tend to critisize even each other, and you act all oogly-weakling-I'm-uber-nice-like-me-like-me-like-me, of course I'm gonna dislike you.

As a forner-n00b on other non-World RPGs, I can easily say that n00bs are usually ignored, overlooked and not-included. That is probably, because most n00bs tend to leave quite soon after they've joined, if something totally awesome hadn't happen to them, in like the first two days of their existence.

And speaking as a former-ACW-n00b, this is a horrible group to try and penetrate if you get offended by every other word. And if you think this is wrong and shouldn't be like that, tough luck.
