::The landlord walks in with Valerie and hands her the keys.::

::He laughs silently and smacks her ass, then leaves.::

::Resisting the erge to stab him with anything, Val closes the door and goes into the bathroom. Strips and takes a shower.::

::A little while later Val is dressed in some jeans and a red top. She finds her black duster and puts her wallet in the pocket. She walks out into the hallway.::

::Valerie puts the book on the table and heads back into the hallway.::

::Valerie leaves her door open half-way by accident. She goes into the kitchen and makes a snack. She gets the book and goes to her bedroom and sits on her bed cross legged with the book infront of her.::

"There has to be something interesting..."

::Val flips through the pages of the book looking for anything.::

::Finding nothing she sighs and goes out to the hallway.::

::Valerie goes to her bedroom and opens the book again. She looks for something that will help her find Josie and finds a page labled 'Scrying'. Deciding not to do that, she thinks of a spell that should bring her to Josie so she could talk to her. Val doubts that the police man would let her talk to Josie in the cell.::

(I could talk to Josie when I'm in the cell with her and then return back here.)

::Val flips through some more pages and stops on one reading it outloud and the spell should bring her to Josie..::

"Locked out, locked in,
Can't go back to where I've been;
Bring me to see Josie my friend,
So we can get all this madness to end!"

::She's a half witch. Val sighs and closes the book. She goes ut into the kitchen abd makes herself some food.::

:: Everyone can hear this, Azura's voice has an urgency to it, she is deadly serious about what she is saying.::

(Something has happened. Josie was caught using magic in public by the police. They are going to be watching the apartment building. I would advise everyone to not use magic in and around the building until this is sorted out.)

::Val hears a voice in her head and looks around. She nods already knowing this.::

(Where is Josie?)

(She is at the Halliwell Manor with Andrea. If you are planning on going to see her I would be careful, they may be keeping a look out so they can see who spends the most time together.)

(Okay thanks. Who is this exactly?)

(This is Azura. I think you were on the beach when we were trying to deal with Paz.)

(Oh, okay thanks. Yes I was. If you don't mind my asking. Did you finish what you were trying to do?)

(Yes we did. Thank you for asking.)

(Thats good. Well I'm going to go see Josie now. I want to know if the police saw me or not...)

::Valerie makes sure that her magic stuff is hidden and she goes out into the hallway locking her door.::

::Coming in, Val closes the door after her and goes into the bathroom. She turns the shower on, strips and takes a shower, doing all that shower stuff. After about 15 minutes, she gets out, wrapping a towel around her, and goes into the bedroom. She gets dressed into a black mini and a black zip up sleeveless shirt. She pulls the zipper and stops it around 6 inches below her neck. She puts on some black heels with the string that goes up to around halfway up her lower leg. Looking at herself in the mirror, Val applies some copper eyeliner, black mascara, cover up to hide her scar, and navy blue sparkly eye shadow. Val puts a semi clear black scarf in her hair and puts her hair up in a messy bun, some of the curls framing her face. Smiling at herself she takes a black duster and puts it on. She goes to the window and opens it, feeling the wind against her face. A couple of minutes later she goes to the door and with a final glace around her apartment, Val goes back out to the hallway, grabbing her tiny purse.::

::Val comes in and changes into some blue pajama pants as well as a sky blue tank top. Cute. She lookes around in the cubords and finds a bottle of gin(whats that doing there?). Shruging she takes a sip and puts it back, quickly brushes her teeth, and goes back to the hallway something small in her hand.::

::Val comes in and puts 6 bags n the counter and the other 5 on her bed. She unpacks all her stuff(suitcases included) and after a while she finishes, now in a long white skirt with a zipper on the side and a white vest-top. She fixes up the apartment and herself and goes back out into the hallway.::

::Val puts all the bags in her room, except for the food ones, and puts the ones containing the CDs beside the box which contains her laptop. She puts the tv one in the living room and goes back out to the hallway.::

::Val comes in and puts her book and potions in the cabinet containing her magic stuff. She puts on a white sweater and goes back into the hallway.::

::Val goes over to the window, looking out. She sighs and then stares at the box containing her tv, before opening it. She manages to get the tv out and hook it up with out hurting herself. She then gets the box with the laptop in it and takes it out, getting a cd from one of her bags. She puts the cd in the laptop and installs iTunes. While waiting for the installation to finish, she unpacks all the food and puts her new clothes away. She also puts her cd's, videos and dvds and stuff like that and puts them by the tv. She sighs, and goes back to her laptop finishing the installation of iTunes.::

(What else is there to do?)

::A while later, Val's apartment is clean, neat and tidy. The furniture and electronics and other house necessities are put where they need to go and so on. The walls are painted a baby blue in most rooms, and a baby pink in the bathroom and the bedroom. She puts the paint away in a closet and goes to the door, turning around. Val smiles while looking at her apartment. She goes into the kitchen and gets a piece of white bread, nibbling on it while she turns the laptop on, putting the cd's on iTunes and listening to them, the music quiet. Val sits down by the window, wondering how Josie is.::

(Maybe I should go to P3.)

::Val turns off the music and fixes her makeup, before getting a white purse nd putting her cell phone, sketchbook, camera, and a roll of cash. She then heads into the hallway.::

::Val keeps the door open,eating the cookie as she walks to her room and changing into warmer clothes. She fixes the blue sweatshirt and goes back into the hallway.::

::Valerie comes in, drenched in water, and takes a shower in nice warm water. After finishing, she gets dressed, puts her atheme in her purse, and goes into the hallway.::

::Val closes the door after Luke.::

"What does a whitelighter do exactly?"

::Pause.::

"And who told you who I am?"

"The Elders assigned me to you. They're whitelighters, too. Our purpose is to guide witches like yourself into tapping into your power to the best of your ability, learn more about the craft itself (and in the process, more about yourself) and to look out for you in case of life threatening danger."

"Okay..."

(My power would be stronger if I practiced more witchcraft? How different.)

::Valerie sits down on the couch.::

"How did you know where I was?"

"I can sense your location, provided that you aren't in the Underworld."

"Underworld? I'm sorry, but I don't really know anything about witches or witchcraft."

::Val rubs her hands, just for the sake of doing something.::

"Which is why I'm here to help you. One of the first things I'll teach you is scrying, which is basically how witches magically locate other people. We'll need to take you to the Magic Shop to get some items that are required."

"Okay. Since I've never been there..."

(...Or don't remember being there...)

"Could you show me where it is?"

"Take my hand. I know a shortcut."

"Okay."

::Val takes Luke's hand.::

(Maybe it's going to be like smoking?)

::Yes and no. Luke orbs himself and Valerie just outside of the Magic Shop.::

::Luke orbs in with Valerie.::

"One of your first exercises is locating a random person."

::He takes the map and stringed crystal from Valerie. After unfolding the map, he moves the crystal over it in an oscillating manner.::

"In order to scry, you'll need this map and a scrying crystal. Swing it over the map and let it find the person you're looking for. When the location is found, it will drop on the coordinates and reveal to you the general location."

::He hands the scrying crystal back to Valerie.::

"Okay, we're going to find a random person named..."

::Luke pauses and pretends to ponder a random name. When a few seconds have passed, he looks to her.::

"...Dar Ling. Let's see if there is a person with that name."

"Okay. Sounds easy."

::Val takes the crystal and moves it over the map. She concentrates on locating Dar Ling.::
