Signing up with the best username for you isn't even half of the entering ACW fun. Oh no. You also have to Audition. This may seem unnecessary and annoying, but trust us, you will thank us for this feature.

The purpose of the Audition is for us to see just how suitable you are to join ACW. By analysing and examining your response to the Audition, the staff can then decide whether or not you're ready to join the World.

Your Audition consists of two elements. A sample post, and a set of questions. In order to get in, you need to pass both of these. If you don't, though, don't worry - there is no limit to the amount of times you can audition, and if you pass one element, that's it passed. You'll then only have to try the other one until you pass it too, and all your hard work will pay off as you pass the final hurdle into the World!

If you fail your Audition, feedback will be given so you know exactly what it is you have to work on for next time.

When you get into the World, be it the first time you try or not, you can be happy that the staff are pretty confident that you've read the necessary information, can post correctly, and basically know what you're doing. And you better, or else!

Auditioning: How To

Okay, now for the fun bit. What? Auditions can't be fun?

In this forum, you'll find the set of questions you need to answer, which is pretty self explanatory, and also a bunch of threads by characters from the World. Some of these threads may have more than one post in them. If your character is already meant to be in the thread, they will be referred to as "you".

For your audition post, you are required to respond to one of the threads. Just one of them. And to make it easier for you, that's why there's a selection. And to make it even easier, there's also a sample Audition which you can refer to as a guideline for your own.

Don't say we're not good to you.

Your post should consist of dialogue, actions and preferably thoughts. We want you to post all of them so we can see if you know how you're supposed to post. Make your post as interesting as possible! Interesting doesn't have to be crazy action or anything, it just involves good description and a little imagination. As stated already, there will be a sample Audition for you to take a look at, pinned in this forum.

Once you're ready to submit your question answers and Audition post, you'll find that you cannot actually post a response in the forum. That's because all Auditions are private. You should Private Message, or PM the two board Admins. Question answers should be sent to The Powers That Be, and the sample audition post, detailing which post it's in response to (what thread you picked to Audition using) to kaytee83.

You will then receive a PM with the result. If you've made it, your user group will change from "Auditioning" to "Member" and you'll be free to proceed to Regeneration and create your character.
