::The nurse arrives and begins preparing the treatment::

::Val walks in slowly, sitting down on the bed.::

(Oww.)

"Well the good news is you don't have 3rd degree burns. Just first and a couple of second. So I'll clean the wounds and bandage them. You seem to be in shock though, so you can have this till you've slept."

::Is this proper procedure? I don't know, or care. The nurse sorts out Valerie and goes back into the Entrance to Aidan::

::I think it is. Val lies down and goes to sleep in about the span of five minutes.::

::Val wakes up, not knowing where she is. White walls, semi-comfy bed and weird things over there.::

(Hospital?)

::She sits up, seeing the bandages and burns and scratches.::

(What happened to me? The lake.. My purse! Oh god.)

::Waking up again after having fallen asleep, Val shifts and mutes the clock. It had been giving her a headache. At least, she tries to mute it.::

(Stupid powers. Honestly I'm surprised that the nurse didn't say anything about the bit of alcohol still in my bloodstream... Or something scientific like that.)

::She shifts more, pulling the sheet up, so she can see that door. Val wonders how she could get a nurse to finish whatever needed to be fixed.::

::Aidan hops in, his usual chipper self, munching away at his crisps and smiles to Valerie.::

"HEY!"

::He skips a little closer.::

"Thirsty? Hungry? Here you go! How you feeling?"

::He offers her his water and crisps, speaking a little loudly, there must be a little water in his ears.::

"No thanks."

::Val smiles at him and closes her eyes for a moment. Or not. She falls asleep and will wake up in about 2 days, non-world time.::

"Poor Val..."

::He whispers to himself, he decides that maybe he would take a quick trip to his apartment, or just walk around the hospital. He hopes Ryo is ok, he's caring like that. However, he decides to sit with Val a bit longer just to keep her safe. He takes a seat, those kind of old, worn out seats they put next to hospital beds, and places himself on it, beside her. He finishes his crisps, not chewing loudly so as not to wake her, and sips his water again. He curls up in the chair and stares at the stormy night sky, looking out of the window.::

(Today has been so busy...I'll write in my diary.)

::He begins to scribble in an old looking notebook from his bag, clearly he must have bought it when he was younger, and hasn't managed to put it down.::

::Ryo walks in with Nicole a little ways behind him.::

"Aidan!"

::Ryo rushes over to him.::

::Finishing his entry, he sees figures in the corner of his eye, and a sinking feeling washes over him as he looks up to see Nicole. Ryo comes towards him.::

"Hey..."

::He hugs him, not looking at him once, his eyes focussed on Nicole.::

"I'd suggest taking a picture, but you probably don't have a camera."

::She says drily and meets his stare with an icey glare::

"Thanks for running off earlier. Leaving me and Ryo alone."

::Nicole's eyes drift over to Valerie with barely veiled contempt::

"See that worked out great for you."

"Running off?!"

::He is clearly annoyed, using a raised tone.::

"Did you not see the fire? The fact we were being attacked? We killed one you know! Where the hell were you? You don't even look injured. I was trying to help you, is this the thanks we're getting?"

(WHORE!)

"I wasn't drawing attention to myself, for one thing. It led to me being able to take out the leader. I got thrown back and almost knocked out when he exploded."

(Little shit! What am I even doing here?)

::He tries to calm himself down.::

"Well...We're saved that rabbit. Everything is alright now...."

::He takes a small sip of his water.::

"We're just lucky to be alive. I don't know how you seemed to get one, without spellcasting and without powers. But then again, if it hadn't been for me and Val's diversion, you might be lying in one of these rooms..."

::He sighs a little::

::Val's eyes flicker open as she gets up into a sitting position.::

(What is she doing here?)

::He looks to Val reassuringly.::

"Feeling better?"

"Yes. When did they get here?"

::It's obvious as to who Val's referring to as she's staring at them.::

"A while ago, I offered you food and drink remember? Want to finish my water?"

::He offers his bottle to her, with the lid off.::

"Sure."

::Val takes the bottle, drinking the water, her lips not touching the rim. She finishes the water.::

"Thanks."

"How long are you going to be in here?"

::Ryo sits down close to Aidan.::

::Aidan seems to be feeling really sensitive at the moment, really upset actually. His face seems to drop a little and he feels like he's going to cry, although, doesn't show it to so much a degree. He holds onto Ryo a little tighter than he probably should, although they are dating. He doesn't know him too well, but as they are together he's the only person around he can take comfort in. He wants to go home, but he can't leave Val.::

"I.."

::He sighs.::

::Ryo puts his arm around Aidan, holding him close.::

(I'm glad nothing happened to him. I don't know what I'd do without him. Even though I don't know that much about him.)

::Val pushes back the sheets, getting out of the bed. She fixes the sheets and sits on the now made bed.::

"I'm fine, really."

"Do you want us to walk you home hun? Or you could stay with me for the night, if me and Ryo share I have an extra bed, safety in numbers an' all that, especially since you're hurt."

::He smiles at her weakly, trying to keep himself cheerful.::

::Ryo puts a little pressure on Aidan's shoulder.::

"Sounds like a party."

::Ryo leans in and wispers in Aidan's ear.::

"What about Nicole?"

"It's okay, I'm fine."

(It's not like I'm going to get attacked and murdered..)

::Aidan hears Ryo but doesn't reply, he looks to Nicole once more.::

"I guess you'll be off now then?"

::He says it in a rather polite way.::

(I like how people don't answer your questions around here.)

::Ryo remembers Valerie's purse.::

"Oh! Valerie, I found your purse. It's a little dirty, but at least I found it, right?"

::He holds it up for Valerie to take.::

::Val takes her purse from Ryo, smiling at him for a moment.::

"Thanks for that."

::Ryo gives Valerie a warm smile.::

"Anytime."

::Aidan sighs once more and continues to hold onto Ryo.::

"You want us to walk you home Val?"

::He waits for Nicole to answer her question...::

"Thanks for the offer but, honestly, I'm fine."

"Well, we are going back to CW anyway, right?"

::He asks Aidan.::

"I can see when I'm not wanted. Next time I need some work done I'll get some real heroes. And just so you know, because there's one of the demon's left out there he'll be hunting you down. Careful you don't get burnt."

::Nicole musters a spark of flame, all she can manage at the moment, and sends it up and into the smoke alarm, setting off sprinklers. The action was completely unseen by everyone in the room. She smirks and turns on her heel, walking out to the Front Entrance::

"Ack!"

::Aidan cries and rushes out of the room with his bag, towards the Front Entrance.::

"What? Sprinklers? Lets get out of here!"

::Ryo grabs Aidan and Valerie and drag them both out to the Front Entrance.::
