A lovely church with a nice clichéd name for you to come and be Godly in. Get advice, meet people, have a bit of a pray... just try to avoid, you know, the disrespectful stuff like demon fights and peeing in the swimming pool. Wait... THAT'S NOT A SWIMMING POOL! GET OUT OF HERE! HEATHEN!

::Julie pulls up outside the church, she looks over at Andrea.::

"I'm not very good at this religion thing you know... my parents are Buddhists."

"Oh, it's okay. It's just like meeting my parents! So try not to get smote on the way in."

::Andrea smiles encouragingly at Julie.::

"No seriously. Don't get smote."

::She looks serious, then gets out of the car to go and stand in front of the church.::

::Julie gets out and looks up at the big cross type dealie on top.::

"Do I have to?"

::Puppy eyes at Andrea.::

"I'm not exactly God's favorite person."

"Yes!"

::Andrea walks up to the door.::

"You know, it's happened to someone before, I think. This lass was going into church with her lesbian lover, and PITCHEWWW! struck down by lightning. Just like that! She was Chinese though, so there's nothing to worry about. After you!"

"Andrea! You are the worst!"

::Julie crosses her arms and very slowly goes up the steps,::

(I'm Chinese...)

"I can't believe you'd let me get struck by lightning... what kinda girlfriend are you?"

"Fine. I'll go first. But if I die... after you said you'd protect me... think what Azura'd do!"

::Andrea opens the door defiantly and walks inside. She giggles to herself, looking around.::

"It's empty. What time is it?"

(I thought there'd be at least one or two folk around.)

::Julie shrugs.::

"Like 2 or something."

::She gets closer to Andrea, looking around.::

"This is weird."

"It's just a building."

::Andrea smiles at Julie.::

"Okay. Ready? Just... try your best to look holy."

::Andrea puts on her Holy Face and walks into the church, picking one of the pews on the right and scooching into it, leaving room for Julie to come and sit beside her.::

::Julie takes off her sunglasses and quickly follows. Feeling completely out of place she sits as close as she can to Andrea.::

::Andrea cups her hands, then puts her elbows on the small shelf in front of her. She closes her eyes.::

"Are you there, God? It's me, Andrea."

::She presses her lips together and tries not to laugh.::

::Julie does the same, but doesn't say anything.::

(God... I don't even know if I believe in God. Not like anything ever led me to believe there was God, having such a great lif- God can hear my thoughts... )

::Andrea grins and turns to Julie.::

"Never read that book before, then?"

"Huh?"

::Julie looks at Andrea.::

"Oh! Yeah, Margaret... I thought you were being serious."

::Andrea chuckles.::

"I used to get smacked over the head for doing that. Andrea! Church is a serious place! You won't be findin' it funny when God sends you to purgatory for a week as punishment!"

::Julie grins.::

"Badass Andy."

::She's tempted to kiss Andrea again, but is afraid of God now. Thanks Andrea.::

"So... how do we know if God is gonna answer us? That is if he exists."

"Wheesht."

::Andrea shushes Julie and puts her Holy Face back on. She falls silent.::

(When I thought I knew you, thinking that you were true...)

"..."

::Julie looks around slowly.::

(After all of the stealing and cheating you probably think that I hold resentment for you, but, uh uh, oh no, you're wrong...)

"Oh, for crying out loud."

::Andrea growls and looks up.::

"Do you have any idea how hard it is to pray when you have Christina bloody Aguilera in your head?"

::Julie can't help but laugh.::

"Oh God... is this a sign that maybe you should be with Christina and not me?"

::Andrea pulls a face.::

"I don't know, she has a funny sort of nose... it moves by itself, it scares me a bit."

"Her hair is very mop like too. I dunno, I think you're better off with me."

::Julie winks at Andrea.::

"I'm just as flexible as she is, promise."

::Andrea's mouth falls open.::

"I do hope you mean your schedule, young lady!"

"Yes honey, my shedule is always open for you."

::Julie smirks.::

"Are you making fun of how I talk right and you don't?"

::... 'talk right'?::

"Talk right?"

::Julie raises her eyebrows.::

"Can we get out of here?"

"I'm trying to have a spiritual conversation with my Creator, thanks!"

::Andrea scowls and goes back to praying.::

"Lord, this is Julie. I don't know if you've met her before, but she's very nice. Except sometimes she gets a bit shouty if you make a mess in her house..."

::She pauses, and scooches away from Julie slightly, then starts to whisper.::

"Like this one time I was there, and I forgot to take my shoes off, and she screamed at me! You should've heard it!"

"I'm sure if he exists, he heard it and agrees with me that you shouldn't walk around my apartment with muddy shoes."

::Glare glare glare.::

::Andrea moves away a little more and whispers even more quietly.::

"I think you should do something about it. Make her food go off or something. She'd deserve it, God, I'm telling you she would."

"You do know I'm right next to you and I can hear you right? And if I got sick you'd have to take care of me."

::Andrea mulls this over.::

"Okay, scratch the vengeance. I suppose."

::She looks up at the ceiling and rolls her eyes.::

"Women!"

::Julie smiles and wraps her arms around Andrea's stomach resting her head on her shoulder.::

::Andrea goes quiet for a minute, then turns her head and gently kisses Julie on top of hers as her arm slides over the girl's back softly.::

"I think he's okay with it."

"Glad to hear it. Can we go for ice cream at the park now?"

::Julie looks up.::

::Andrea chuckles.::

"Try not to act too bored, now. Go on, then. I'll meet you in the car."

"I'm not bored. I just don't know what to do... but if you want me to go, I'll go"

"I'll be right out."

"Okay."

::Julie kisses Andrea's cheek then walks out to the car where she just sits listening to the radio.::

::Andrea watches her go, then turns around and crosses herself quickly.::

::She smiles then gets up and walks out after Julie, only a couple of seconds behind. She gets into the car.::

"Well that wasn't so bad."

"Yup, still alive."

::Julie starts the car properly.::

"So, ice cream and park?"

::She's forgotten about the rest of the world.::
